Favorite bagel and spread

#1 choice would be a salt bagel. Plain bagel glittered with pretzel salt. Hard to find but one of the grocery store bakeries in town makes them.
#2 choice would be an everything bagel.
#3 choice would be a poppy seed.
#4 choice would be sesame seed.
#5 choice would be Asiago cheese or something similar

All with chive cream cheese.

sesame bagel, toasted unless still oven warm, with a slice of ripe 'mater, thin slice onion, chive cream cheese, lox, and maybe a little baked whitefish spread.
Lox cream cheese spread also works.

Tomato, lox and white fish is a non starter for me. I'd probably puke in my mouth.

Not saying you're wrong (which you are) so you have no competition with the fish stuff from me.

Cinnamon bagel toasted with cream cheese. (Ocassionaly add strawberry jelly. )

back up plan would be onion bagel, and if they are really good bagels, plain or egg would be just fine.

Sun-dried tomato bagel with fired egg whites and sliced tomato and a sprinkle of Cavender's All Purpose Greek Seasoning.

Honey walnut cream cheese spread isn't bad either.

Lox, cream cheese, sliced red onion with a sprinkle of capers.

Is there any bad bagel/spread?

Everything, double toasted with jalapeño cream cheese.

Also I can go for a pumpernickel, double toasted with tomato, plain cream cheese and lox.

I never ate enough “loaded” or flavored bagels to have a preferred type, spread and / or topping. When I used to play tennis 5 - 6 days a week, I often ate a plain bagel or two a day. Would take them with me to work and, depending on what time I was gonna play, eat one in the morning and one after lunch. Every so often I would get cinnamon bagels for more taste and sugar. Amazingly, despite all the carbs I was eating, still lost weight during the tennis season(s). Guess I didn’t drink enough beer after my workouts. 🍺
