I cam across this really interesting article about Mexican San Andreas tobacco, where it came from how it evolved to what we know today, etc.

Thought I would share it.

Te Amo is a laughable cigar and I would sooner smoke a Puros Indios.

SA isn’t a bad tobacco. There’s actually a couple cigars that have SA that I do like, but it’s SO DAMN OVERPLAYED I have fatigue. I would add the source of this article is trying to sell it….. I think SA is utilized to the extent that it is for availability and price NOT how great it tastes.

Conn Bread leaf and Brazilian Arapiraca is FAR superior IMO.

What are those good cigars???

I can have an easier time justifying a Davidoff purchase than finding a good SA cigar.

Scooby snax pretty good

Smoke what you like as the saying goes...

But there again Candelas and Connecticuts are the only ones I try to stay away from.

DMV the L'Atelier La Mission 1959 is a nice cigar.
I got lucky and took 3rd place in DED’s Masters of 2021, and just recently popped open the box.
They are quite tasty.
Thanks DED!

No man, you did GREAT! IIRC, only a couple of the smokes had MSA wrappers and I’ve enjoyed both before. For the record, I don’t hate, hate MSA but won’t go out of my way to try a new blend. Kinda like Z, I feel that MSA is overexposed. There was a period when it seemed like 3 out of four new cigars was blended with MSA. I also feel that the taste of MSA has changed since 2014. Can’t put my finger on what changed, just know that it did, at least to my palate.

So yah, R-E-L-A-X, all’s good and each of the smokes you sent will be enjoyed! Herfing
