I say that in Jest, our small town is a mile wide at most and city just passed a year or so back, ATV'Side by sides and Golf Carts can be run on the streets as long as licensed and have proper lighting etc. as long as you buy a City Sticker.. Revenue runs the venue's around here.

with that said also in this small town my brother years back was issued a DUI while on his Bicycle and was tossed in Jail, paid all fines and it still was stuck to his driver's license? " the local cop at the time, had a hard on for my brother...

So if my conveyance mode has a mind of its own, I can’t get a DUI/DWI?

I'm thinking hitch Tank to a wagon and I'll be fine. Unless he sees a squirrel, then it could get dicey.

Emergency quick release on the harness. Then catch up to him at your own pace.

As the autopilot/AI stuff improves over time, I wonder if you'd still be considered "in control." I know you are currently, but once it hits a human eradicating Skynet level, mebbe not

Several people I know have gotten arrested jailed fined for DUI while on golf carts at one of the race tracks we used to rent for Gridlife events. The cops there were giant douches and ultimately were the reason we quit going there. Track management and the county wouldn't leg our private contracted security suffice for events. And at night they would swarm the place and harass everyone.

At school in the late 90s they inadvertently encouraged driving under the influence. It was common practice by campus police to detain and breathalyze pedestrians if they were out late on the weekends. They'd either nail them for public or underage. Cars were safer for reduced time of exposure on the streets.

Morning, peoples

Morning gents. A golf buddy of mine got ticketed for DWI on a bicycle. Lived about 5 blocks from a tavern so he would ride there occasionally. Don't remember what it cost him but it was not cheap.

No Mower DUI's were noted!!! Mrs. and I got all the tile floor down, now to grout in the lines today and clean up... got the mowing done across town, but I through the trans belt again on the Husky and she had to tow me home (I got a video of it all) yep stopped off at the watering hole after mowing had a few drinks and a few laughs about the towing in progress!!! Mrs. mower is an old Cub Cadet Manual everything and this is twice now we've had to tow mine home... thats why I like this small town folks.. I'll toss some bullChit out at the bar and see how long it takes to get back to me only a bigger longer story then what I tossed!!!

If you cant Dazzle them with Brilliance, Baffle them with BullChit!!!

Yup. Welcome back to Monday fellas.

My 7th and last night tonight. Been a long ass week.

In other news, dealership that's had my truck for 3 weeks tomorrow has no updates beyond that they confirmed a transmission issue. I got a week off coming up, gonna be making some calls up the ladder once I figure out what that ladder is and what numbers to call.

I really don't care if they do it right or not at this point. Unless they put a new trans in the truck, I'm only going to take it home to take my toolbox and other stuff out of it, then driving straight to Carmax to dump it. If it gets a new trans, I've got a year left on the warranty gives me time to find a replacement. But 3 weeks is pretty ridiculous. I could rebuild it at home in 3 weeks time but the whole reason I bought that particular truck was the warranty so I wouldn't have to work on it.

Danm, this reminds me of when I was single I lived in a condo and the couple next door had a really nice, sleek looking Jaguar XJS. One day as I was getting in my car and she was also getting in the Jag :

Me: Really nice looking Jag, how do you like it?
Her: I wish I had two of 'em.
Me: Really?
Her: Yeah, that way I would have one to drive while this SOB is in the shop!!

Things moving really quick this morning. Somebody made a ridiculously good offer on our mountain house over the weekend. We didn't even have it on the market but looks like we are going to sell it.

May have to challenge HD to a move out date contest.

When I had transmission and clutch issues with a 3 yr old Silverado ( back in 2008?) they refused to deal with it. It was about 3 months and 8k miles off of the 3 year 36k warranty.

I climbed the ladder as far as I could with phone calls and got nowhere. Tried to work with the dealership I bought it from, talked with the Chevy corporate customer service, spent a lot of time on the phone. I decided to punt. Told the service department to put it back together and I'll pick it up after work. Took it to a transmission shop and they put in it a rebuilt tranny (where I learned that the Chevy dealer service department drained the tranny fluid from it and let me drive away with no tranny fluid).

After the rebuilt transmission was put in, I traded it in as fast as I could for another vehicle. Took a hit on the trade in but was happy to get rid of that headache.

I vowed to never buy another GM product as long as I live and have held true to that vow.

Actually it's a local couple who have been looking in my neighborhood for two years and getting frustrated. Homes priced right sell in 1-2 days up there, many to Cali folks looking to get out but like the climate better than in the desert areas. Prices have increased around 12-15% each year we have been there. Best part of the portfolio lately.

We have had two homes there in the same development and work with a realtor who keeps us informed of any new homes coming on the market because they know we want a better view. Our current place is right across from the community park which is nice and only a one minute walk to the club house, two pools, tennis, etc.

Yep. We were planning trips to Europe on Viking for next summer and had been thinking about selling so we wouldn't have two houses to worry about while we were gone. Also prolly spend some time in the Pacific Northwest and relatives in Minnesota.

Finally full cracked the code on my shpo boss. Although I'm not the sharpest bulb, I did do well in Abnormal Psychology (imagine that). New the boss man was a narcissist, but couldn't peg the subcategory. Until this weekend.

What Is Grandiose Narcissism?
Published: August 13, 2021 Updated: August 24, 2022

Narcissists generally crave praise and admiration while lacking empathy for others; however, not all narcissists are alike. Grandiose narcissists will display a pattern of superiority and pretentiousness that may differ from other people with the condition. Narcissism has a reputation for being treatment resistant but knowing the signs can help combat the condition.

You don’t have to face the abuse and manipulation of a narcissist alone. BetterHelp has over 20,000 licensed therapists who provide convenient and affordable online therapy. BetterHelp starts at $60 per week. Complete a brief questionnaire and get matched with the right therapist for you.

What Is Grandiose Narcissism?
Rather than being its own mental health diagnosis, grandiose narcissism is a term used to describe a person with narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) who shows a certain set of symptoms that differ from the norm. Where other narcissists may have an underlying sense of insecurity or fragility, a person with grandiose narcissism will believe, without doubt, that they are special, unique, and superior.

Here are symptoms of grandiose narcissism:1

A need for admiration
A lack of empathy
An exaggerated sense of importance
Persistent fantasies of increased success, power, happiness, love, intelligence, or physical appearance
A belief that they are so special that they should only associate with other special people
A belief that they should receive special attention, treatment, and gifts
A tendency to take advantage of other people or situations to fulfill their goals
Lacking care, compassion, and empathy for others
Being envious of others and thinking that others are envious of them
Appearing arrogant, conceited, or self-absorbed
A person only needs five of these qualities to receive a diagnosis of NPD, meaning that someone with grandiose narcissism may not necessarily be envious of others. Instead, they may only imagine that people want to be as wonderful as they are.

Grandiose narcissists are much like other people with NPD, but some symptoms will be exaggerated. Overall, those with grandiose narcissism are more assertive and extroverted than their counterparts with standard NPD.

Grandiose narcissists will also display these symptoms:

Very high confidence and self-esteem
Superiority and entitlement
Impulsivity
Anger, hostility, and verbal or physical aggression when confronted
Exploitation of others
Because grandiose narcissists believe so strongly in their abilities and intelligence, they will display a strong distrust of experts. According to the grandiose narcissist, the expert could never know as much as they do, so anyone that disagrees with the narcissist will always be wrong.

Well, it's a definite go on selling the mountain house. Papers signed, and signed, and signed. Buyers bank waived any need for comps since they are putting about 50% down payment so the only contingent clause is a home inspection. Closing date is Nov 3rd.

Now we need to find a home for all the furniture in and out of a 3 bedroom house. The buyers may want some of it but we haven't heard back on that. Other than two original oils, a bronze and a few personal items we have no use for any of it. Prolly going to contract with an estate sale company to run that since we will not be there.
