Had a good God moment today. Strange how I had a plan and a goal, He scrapped my plan and had an even better outcome than I had hoped.

Cigar now in the hammock, Kuba on the deck on her cushion. This all all also post steak burrito.

Peaceful.

Yeah... you been busy lately for a semi-retired guy. I got another package from the Disco household. Frying pan

Another consideration was Ghost Pepper. Didn’t know if you like your cheese THAT hot.

Mmmm! Ghost Pepper Jack was last summer's selection. Also a tasty burn

They're both pretty manageable in cheese form. Definitely a kick to them though

Happy Thursday fellas.

Picked up my "new" car yesterday. Bought it without really knowing what it was other than it's a Hyundai hatchback that passed emissions this year and has a fresh clutch. I thought it was a 97 but it's a 2007. He also said 250k miles but odometer says 198k.

Needs a few things, accessory belts on the engine are pretty cracked up, rear struts are clunky, and windshield has a full length crack but it's like an inch from the top and runs horizontal it's not in the line of sight.

Added it on my insurance for a whopping $12/mo.

I miss beaters.

Morning gents.

Headed up to the mountains for a clean up day on the house. Waiting on the house inspection report to be published and should have that today. The buyer asked to purchase a few items of furniture so we are waiting for response to our offer on those but the bulk of the furnishings are scheduled for a two day estate sale in a couple of weeks.

Morning all.

Still recouping nicely- I think. Doc said I'd hate him for 4-6 weeks and now I really know what he meant. Ran out of pain pills a while back and mmj several days ago, but started back with edibles and am doing much better pain-wise, than without them and the pain pills!

Wife and are are heading to Lakeland to visit my buddy Larry, who is our hand surgeon. She's got a thumb spur and needs surgery and has finally come to terms with it. Thank God. I hate to see her suffer whenever it hurts.

84/63 is going to be a nice day today for the drive.

Hope everyone has a great day!

60 and rain. Got the dog walked ahead of it. Winds to pick up in the afternoon with gusts up to 30 mph. Immediately poured myself a cold cup of stfu before I complained knowing a little bit about Ian.

We all have our crosses to bear. Earthquakes, hurricanes, blizzards, heat waves, cold fronts... tropical storms, thunder storms... and the list goes on. We decide where we're comfortable, what we can tolerate, and what we gain and give up for those decisions.

I'd love it if you were my neighbor. But then I wouldn't get packages of Habanero pepper jack cheese. Which, by the way, is fantastic. BigGrin

Cleanup went well and we’re all finished for the day. Opening a bottle of wine and sitting on the front porch talking to neighbors. Looks like the inspection won’t be published until tomorrow.

Happy Friday you worker types and layabouts.

You ever get up in the night because you have to go and you are still more asleep then awake and it’s dark so you have one hand out in front of you so you don’t run into the dresser but you are not in the house you thought you were in and *THUD* you hit the door jamb and when you get up in the morning you look in the mirror and you have a big purple mark on your forehead and your wife comes in and gives you a look that is a cross between sympathy and disgust?

Not personally.

A friend of mine came into the cigar club with his wife. She had a big black & purple eye. They both have a sense of humor on the darker side. Neither of them said anything and neither did the four of us already there. Finally, I asked.

SHE said- I had it coming. When when he got home from work, dinner wasn't on the table.
He said that wasn't true. His story was she brought him a bottle of beer and the cap was still on it.

The real truth was they were on vacation, having drinks and sleeping in an unfamiliar place, she woke up in the middle of the night and walked into a door jam.

It happens.

This place just opened up and I'm good friends with the Mangers parents... her dads an FBI agent and could tell ya some stories!!! It would be nice if they installed a Humidor and had an area "sitting room" for cigar smokers "Only" to enjoy both...

Back yard should be finished today. This has been a long, slow process thanks to Ian ruining it for a few days... and these American workers and their late start/early finish. Gonz
