Your personal experience does not comprise a statistically significant sample.

The theme song of M*A*S*H is entitled "Suicide is Painless" (rather dark). The lyrics were written by a 14 yr old.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SwrKZWgwDkM

The M*A*S*H TV series ran longer than the Koren War (police action). This is off topic as it's not Knowledge Recently Acquired but a point of interest and should not be forgotten. The Koren War was a War not a "police action."

M*A*S*H aired for 11 years, from September 1972 until February 1983. However, the Korean War itself lasted just over three years.

One of the best TV drama/sitcoms and iconic in US TV in history... just my humble opinion.

Cervico-thoracic laminectomy, foraminotomy and vertebral fusion (C6-T2) cane be performed anally. Who'd have known?

The word “literally” originally meant “of literature”. Like from Shakespeare or a novel.

Some many people took it to mean “actually” that Websters had to change the definition.

Literally….

Technically the Korean War still isn't over. There was an armistice between N & S and relative allied parties, but no actual treaty was ever signed

An ice ax was used to kill Trotsky on Mexico in 1940.
The blow to the head didn't kill him immediately. The axe remained in his head as he ran from the room. He passed 26 hours later.

The assassin got 20 years in a nice Mexican prison. A sweetheart deal between the socialist Mexican and communist Russian gub-mints.

Per a poll on NewsNation, 64% of Southern Californians are afraid to go to Tijuana.

No stats offered on how many Tijuanians are afraid to go to Southern California.

I never had an issue going to TJ. But I stopped going there years ago and I would be counted among the 64% nowadays. Hell, I'd bet a lot of those 64% that would be afraid to go are from Mexico!

Robert Altman who directed the movie MASH was paid $70,000. Mike Altman, his son, who co-wrote the lyrics to Suicide is Painless made over a million dollars in royalties from the movie and TV show.

Corporate department heads don’t like you stating state law statutes when you tell them no.

At least it made my boss laugh in private.

Seeing people spend a dime to save a nickel is pretty funny too.

Van Morrison is only 5’ 4”.

And I always thought he was taller but Stevie Ray Vaughan was 5’ 6” but I guess the boots coupled with the hats he almost always wore give him a tall aura.

There's an unofficial metric that originated with FEMA in 2011 known as the Waffle House Index. Basically if chit's gotten so bad that Waffle House has closed, that area got hit hard and needs efforts directed there

Mountain goats prefer steep, rocky areas with cliffs or bluffs in alpine or sub-alpine regions. They prefer areas with sufficient escape terrain (steep rocky areas), moderate slopes, mid-elevations, and southern exposures. They migrate between lowland winter areas and high elevation summer ranges.

It is estimated that the water that makes up you and me has passed through at least four humans and/or animals before us. All the water on earth is 4.3-4.4 billion years old.

No water is being created or destroyed on earth. Every drink of water you take and every pot of coffee you make is dinosaur pee.

I drink beer.

For thousands of years Pygmies have lived in harmony with equatorial Africa's magnificent jungles. They inhabit a narrow band of tropical rain forest about four degrees above and four degrees below the Equator, stretching from Cameroon's Atlantic coast eastward to Lake Victoria in Uganda. With about 250,000 of them remaining, Pygmies are the largest group of hunter-gatherers left on earth.
