Yeah, we started getting kids trucked in from other neighborhoods several years ago.

When they drive kids to your neighborhood that’s a sign of a quality neighborhood!

I usually have around 300 pieces of candy on hand and we decorate, dress up, have propane heaters, and hang out outside. Even give away cigars to dads. Usually AF Hemingway Short Stories.

Didn't have too many. Went though about 200 pcs during the first hour and a half. I don't do limits, grab as much as your little hands can take. Was a small push of kids early but it waned out kinda early (maybe because tomorrow is a school day.. shrug...) Mostly toddlers and a few teens.

Gave the last couple of stragglers rest of the bucket... prolly 50 pcs each... Sometimes it pays off to be a late comer.

50% off Halloween candy at Wally World tomorrow (prolly just crappy $hit like candy corn) to make room for Christmas stuff.

Seen that happening here, tonight. I had 5 big bags of candy to dole out and 90% of it got doled out. I'd say it was pretty active from 5:45p to 8:15p. Word on the street was the "neighborhood" was saying 5-8p on their FB page.

Only 1 dad took the dad beer offer.

Good Tuesday Morning! It's an overcast 62° heading to 76° today. Another range, but our older son is joining us and we'll all go for lunch later today. Shooting pistolas today, son's choice. Good for my wife as she is due for some pistol practice and I need to dial in the red dot on my Rock 5.7x28 pistol.

Macs have you fished that St. Johns river yet? do you have ocean poles? I'd also recommend Jetty Park, down by Cape Canaveral it's an inlet for shrimping boats etc. we always fished it at night into early morning for best catches!!!

I have not fished the St John yet. I have not friggin' fished the ocean at all yet... I'm going through withdrawals!!

I have 5 rod/reel combos for the ocean and gear out the wazoo. I have 1 freshwater rod/reel and a small amount of bass gear.

That's not out of the realm of possibilities, but I want to be familiar with the fishery and the ins and outs of the area before I commit to something like that.

Bought gutter clips to put the Christmas lights up this week before it gets too damn cold to be outside.

Picked up a couple 4x20 tarps to cover my wood stacks too.

Gotta finish slicing up a tree I dropped last week and then split it all.

Probably the last decent week I have off until April or May.

Picked up and installed a Rubbermade Fastrack system for hanging all the implements of destruction on the garage walls.
Should have done this 10 years ago. Garage is looking good.

Good Wednesday Morning! It's 54° on the way to 76 today.

Found a great decongestant spray, NOT F'ing Afrin. Xlear is saltwater, some grapefruit extract, and Xyitol, yup, the sweetner xylitol. It works and it's inexpensive on Amazon.

I had to quit using Claritin-D/Sudafed and others that contain Pseudoephedrine, my Doc thinks it is contributing to my fast heartbeat, 95 as I'm typing this, and 120 in his office. Getting a sleep study too. It's done at home now, wearing a ring device they ship to your house.

My garage already had one mounted. I just had to stop by HD to get the hanging hooks for it. My garage is looking nice, too.

Just waiting for cabinet install and then it's gonna be awesome. I'll be putting in a butcher block top for the work bench... then mounting a vice and a wire/grinding wheel.

Got the squats and pushups done. Rocky ride from Mother Nature during the constitutional. Was in a three day back-log.
Backlog. Sometimes I amuse myself.

47 degrees now with a projected high of 71. Average high for November 2nd is 50. The upside of Climate Change.

Have leaves to move. Bunch still on the trees. Might have to climb them with a leaf blower in hand to speed up the process.

My Nephew lives in St. Pete and he floats a Kayak all over in the inlets around him and even out on the ocean with his fishing gear he paddles away and does pretty well for himself. he's had a few encounters with gators and sharks, but he loves it!!! he says he can shove the Kayak in his van and travel pretty much anywhere to launch it. he modified it to fit his gear and poles.

Leaf was todays theme.

Smoked a cigar with a former coworker today. Fun to hear the struggles of the organization.
Blew leaves off of the roof, deck, driveway and on the east side of the house. Could only swing the leaf blower for about an hour and forty five.

Then back to the deck for a second cigar.

MACS,
The wife finally found a Pauliner she doesn’t love; Hefe Weiss.

She has four left. Because I’m a good husband, I manned up and drank one for her.
I’m a giver.

I kept all the hooks from the mountain house and just needed to install an 84" bar yesterday. Think I will get 2-3 more hooks since there is room.
