Holy crap! Smoke what you like and all, but if those are the top 5 what didn't make the cut?

No self respecting cigar enthusiast can describe their passion in just 5 choices. This list describes my basic choices in accordance with the vibe I'm feeling. I still have untested choices inside my humidor that will double/triple this list! In no particular order:

Sweet:
-Drew Estate Tabak Especial Limited
-Drew Estate Java Series

Chill:
-Alec Bradley White Gold
-Alec Bradley American Sun Grown
-La Palina Classic Connecticut
-Gurkha Classic Havana

Serious Smoke w/ adult libation:
-Pinar del Rio Reserva Limitada
-Alec Bradley Prensado
-Gurkha Governor's Private Blend
-Big Papi

Smoke'm if you got'em! Keep trying new things. Don't follow the crowd, follow your heart.

Peace and Blessings be unto you,

That curly head is better than the CAO Brazilla and that Black Pearl man I can't get enough of them. The Gurkhas everything they make is great. With all this said you know I am full of s h i t. Smoke what you like and LIKE what you smoke.

1 LFD Andalusian bull
2 Viaje TNT
3 Viaje anything
4 LFD Oro
5 LFD La Volcado

Many others could be on the list it is hard to narrow it down to 5 .There are many that I could put on there..The top 2 are really good to me smoked a TNT last night.

When I first got into premium cigars and more precisely, when I found this place, PDR seemed to be a brand that was smoked, PIB’d, RAOK’d and traded by a lotta members. Went to a PDR smoker later that year, met Abe Flores and bought more than a few of his cigars. All of them were, at the very least, decent, with a few of them bordering on the pretty good level. But, it seemed like the overall quality of the brand went downhill from around 2016…at least to my palate.

1. Cohiba Nicaragua 5x54
2. Macanudo Inspirado White 5x50
3. Cohiba Macassar 6x54
4. Rocky Patel Connecticut 6x52
5. Gurkha Centurian 6x60

I also like exploring buying 5 or 10 packs and have many more in my box but above are my top 5 of the month. They all have there place depending on amount of time available or time of day. I tend to like a lighter wrapper in the morning like the RP Connecticut or Inspirado White. The Nicaragua, Macassar, and Centurian are good any time of day or night. Nicaragua is my current all time favorite this month.

1) Davidoff Anniversario
2) Gurkha Grand Reserve
3) I kid you not, some fake Davidoffs*
4) Sobremesa Brûlée
5) Griffins #300

* I picked up a box of 10 fake Davidoffs from a guy running a tourist trap shack in the Dominican Republic for 10 bucks. Maybe it’s my n00b nature, but still remain one of my favorite cigars ever. What hurts the most is that I have no idea what sticks they actually are.

I mean, I’ve probably only smoked 25-35ish cigars across my lifespan. I also don’t get the hate for Gurkha, but I’ve also never bought one. Both of my last Gurkhas were gifts. Are they really that pricey?

Nah, they're actually pretty cheap in auctions generally. MSRP is pricey. Some of them can be OK. Just not usually anything special.

Also, there was apparently a time period where Gurkahs sometimes got a little explodey

Gurkha's are pretty inexpensive when you get them here on cb. I've yet to have one really knock my socks off but they're pretty good and I'm still exploring. Probably always will be. I just won some Gurkha Classic Havana Blend Toro's tonight for $2/stick, MSRP is about $10/each. Looking forward to trying them. I was bored and exploring so I also got the following. All new ones for me. Can't wait for this week's shipment!

Nica Libre Toro (6.0"x54) Pack of 5
5 Vegas Classic Fifty Five Box-Press (Gordo) (5.5"x55) Pack of 5
Padilla Serie '68 Double Toro (Gordo) (6.0"x60) Pack of 5
Ave Maria Morning Star Collection 5 Cigars
Macanudo Inspirado Orange Robusto Extra (5.5"x50) Pack of 5
Ave Maria The Lion (box-press) (Toro) (5.5"x55) Box of 20
Macanudo Cru Royale Robusto (5.0"x50) Pack of 5
Cuba Libre Magnum (Robusto) (5.5"x55) Pack of 5
Gurkha Classic Havana Blend Toro (6.0"x54) Pack of 5
5 Vegas Gold Double Nickel (Toro) (5.5"x55) Pack of 5
Ave Maria Lionheart Robusto (5.5"x54) Pack of 5

Nica Libre can be good with some age
Out of the morning stars I liked the Argentum and Reconquista. None were bad though
Inspirado Orange is purty good. Kinda citrusy like the Espinosa Laranja

Can't speak to the rest of 'em

My lists are in no particular order.

I was overseas for about a year in the late 90's and had a chance to enjoy Cubans exclusively
Cohiba Siglo IV
Cohiba Robusto
Hoyo Double Coronas
Monte No. 2
Partagas SD4

The current list is
Excalibur No. 1 Claro
Excalibur No. 1 Maduro
Fuente 858 Maduro
CAO Flathead 660
Fuente Queen B

And while I always come back to them, I'm always trying something else.

Hello all, I'm back from the dead and have been kicking myself for liquidating my collection some years back...

1. Montecristo Edmundo
2. Opus X 888
3. Cohiba Esplendido
4. Padron 64
5. Trinidad (loved every one I've tried, ISOM and Non-ISOM)
*Edit - One to grow on... 6. Punch Grand Cru No. II

* PSD4 fits in there somewhere too, but I wasn't patient enough to let them age. Smoked/gifted 25 pre-matures and still enjoyed them.

I'm pretty much a Nicaraguan whore with a maduro wrapper so most anything that falls into that category: Padron, Oliva, Tatuaje, My Father...

I was actually just spritzing my beads in the tuperdor today. (who doesn't like spritzing your beads every now and again?) and ran into some Cupido Criollo smokes (remember these?). I smoked a lot of them when they were readily available but they are now extinct. I have about 8 left from the original blend (box date says Sept of 1999). I should smoke up before they turn into compost. They've tried to resurrect them a few times but they are not the same.

Another long lost fav is the Perdomo 2
