A mini-flex.

In the last 7 days, I walked 65.3 miles.

Deadeyedick continues to be a contributing factor the walkabout vs layabout journey.

Hey! Don't blame me for your overzealous behavior. At my age I'm just trying to keep fit enough that I don't have to ware one of those buttons that summon help when you fall down. fog

Morning, peoples. I gave up on fitbit couple of years ago. It synced a couple of times with the program, and then it decided it was just a pricey pedometer

Yep. Had one in the past. It was okay, but I've gotten used to not wearing a watch. Really don't want to do it again, but some days could use the extra motivation.

For me, I like the Zone Minute counts. Always thought I was exercising, but in retrospect I was walking too slow and never got near cardio.

Being somewhat competitive (even with myself) it has been a game changer. Also helped me realize how inactive. A minimum of 250 steps per hour sounds real easy, but time can get away if you aren't watching it. Also it has helped me get a better idea of the frequency and intensity of my tricky ticker.

Losing weight & looking better. I don't spend any additional money ($9 a month gives more detail) but for me it is much more than a pedometer.

Understood, and I'm not knocking anyone else, but all the extra stuff stopped functioning in my case. Therefore I lost faith and no longer use

Winter has arrived today with a high of 46 and going freezing at 3 in the morning. This is going to be the warmest day in the 10 day forecast. I miss fall already and still have some leaves falling.

Did my laundry, then to Walmart for a few items and afterwards fueled my truck. Within 30 feet of the truck stop store is a bar called The Windbreak. Based on Yelp reviews it seems to be a happening place.

Probably order something from Uber Eats. Don’t think I can do the Huddle House for lunch. Breakfast was painful enough. I need to put away the stuff I bought at Walmart. Got some jeans, a warm jacket, some wool socks and some sweat pants. Waited until I got up here because I figured there would be a better selection than down south. That was a safe assumption. Also loaded up on the usual consumables such as toilet paper, aloe wipes and paper towels.

Perhaps I’ll even drag my arse to a shower.

My 3 year old finally got the hang of the balance bike this weekend. It was like a switch flipped and all of a sudden she understood it. The grin on her face was amazing.

Thanks for the flashback. Recall that same series of moments with my son. He wasn’t so good at steering so 10 seconds later he hit the curb, the seat slammed into his balls and landed on the the neighbor’s lawn.

Writhing in pain, tears in his eyes he exclaimed “I’m never gonna have kids!”

A terrible father would have laughed.

Rolled out at 7:00 this morning. It was still snowing. First stop was 15 minutes down the road. Two more off loads then south to South Dakota to pick up a load of beef headed to Phoenix.

Was 50 degrees for the dog walk... still wearing shorts and a t-shirt, but needed the fleece.

Tank has a fur coat, so he don't care. Currently 64.

Have the day off. Temps probably won't crack 40° F to day but is is nice and sunny with clear skies.

Bought a friend a new (new for her) iMac off of e-bay that I'll have to configure. Her old one wouldn't boot up - corrupted OS that I couldn't resolve. Bought a replacement one for her on e-bay. She just uses it for web surfing, Facebook, e-mail, and some simple work stuff so nothing special. It shouldn't be hard, just have to run some updates, setup her email and other accounts like Facebook and Workforce and stuff. Nothing complicated, just a bit of a time sink.

I'll take her old iMac and wipe it clean, and install a fresh OS. I have no use for it and it would just collect dust at my place. It's a solid machine and all the hardware works but somehow the OS flaked out.

Once it's up and running I'll prolly just pass it on to someone who doesn't have the means to buy a computer but needs one for home, school or work or something. I'm sure someone out there can use it for general computer and average use for stuff.

You know that reloaded computer will run like it's brand new until you give it away. Then it will crap out almost immediately and you'll be liable for lifetime support. No good deed ever goes unpunished. Kudos for trying however.

I think Apple is about to declare all Intel-chipped Macs obsolete. I just purchased a Macbook pro with an M2 chip, just because my tax program warned me when I finished my 2021 taxes I need the newer OS only supported by the M1 chip to run the 2022 tax program. d'oh!

My current Intel chipped Mac Mini does everything I need plenty fast, but no matter, now I'll have a new machine with half the ram and half the size SSD. the joys of upgrades. Brick wall Brick wall Brick wall

Cold and windy here, high of 41 below freezing overnite. Did some cutting on bushes and trees - got too cold. Need to get the winter gear out. May go out again to clean up the property a bit this afternoon.

I'm using the Brave browser at 8track's recommendation... and now it's fuggin' up a lot, too. Same too many redirects message.

If it's happening on multiple browsers it is 98.2% surely a CBid issue and not the browser. The place has gone from great deals, great customer service, and no issues to a flaming pile of turds that can't get a damn thing right.
