I've only had 2-3 redirects with Chrome since the gripes started here, and still use. I don't have the technical know how to theorize the reason for this

^But multiple people have had issues with chrome and now Brave... do we all have the same problem? Or is it the website?

I would assume the server/site side of things since that's the common denominator

In most cases it's the programming of the website that's the problem in my experiences. I use mostly 4 different browsers and if none of them work on a site. that site has a major problem.

I mainly use Firefox on my desktop. Sometimes use Chrome when I was doing online classes where Firefox choked on some links, the online school library, or when using some cloud based software. I do use add/popup blockers with both browsers which may lead to some problems with some websites and stuff but nothing of concern.

On my phone I use Chrome mainly but it has issues with Cbid, Firefox mobile app doesn't. I don't surf the web or e-mail much on my phone though. My cell phone is primarily used for (gasp) a phone, text or a couple work related apps.

I have a land line since it comes bundled with the internet package. I don't even know the phone number to it. You could waterboard me but I still wouldn't be able to cough up my phone number to my landline. I think the last time I used it was to send and retrieve some medical forms to/from my doctor via fax a few months ago (for some reason they wanted to use fax vs e-mail). Probably would have been easier to just stop in at the Dr office since it's only a 10 minute walk away.

Tank has a fur coat, so he don't care. Currently 64.

You bought him a fur coat? Any bling along with that?

I withdraw the question. You live I Jax, not Coral Gables. 🌀

As a guy who always enjoyed maps, I like your trucker itinerary post. Traveling vicariously through you. Plus I don’t have to sleep in a truck, risk my life going down mountains or spend $10 on a shower at a truck stop.

I have a couple "sick" days left on the calendar that need to be burned (use it or or lose it) by the end of the year.

Wednesday's forecast is high of 39°, 99% chance of cloud cover, 95% chance of rain for all day. I predict some sniffles coming on. Might be Covid but I think I'll survive.

Morning dudes. Coffeed up. Ready for the walkabout.

Tank's fur coat is original equipment. Only bling he gets is chew toys and treats. Well... his bowls are kinda blingy. Stainless steel.

Kewl

I’m headed to Phoenix, AZ with a load that delivers at 10:00 AM tomorrow. Ain’t going to happen. Obviously, whomever dispatched this load didn’t bother to map it out and see that best case scenario I’d be 7 & half hours late.

Was down to my last 2 minutes on my daily DOT 14 hour shift last night so I pulled over in Mission, SD. Fortunately, I found an empty lot on the side of the main drag of this 3 stop light community. There’s a Gus convenience store across the street. Hope they have a toilet, otherwise….

I'm using the Brave browser at 8track's recommendation... and now it's fuggin' up a lot, too. Same too many redirects message.

If it's happening on multiple browsers it is 98.2% surely a CBid issue and not the browser. The place has gone from great deals, great customer service, and no issues to a flaming pile of turds that can't get a damn thing right.

Must be a pain in the Arse knowing the state by state rules on where you can pull over and sleep. And if there is room to sleep where you are when the 14 hour clock strikes.

Good Tuesday Morning! It's an overcast 51° on the way to 59° today. It's supposed to rain, but I hope to sneak in a little range time between the rain showers.

We generally follow the if it’s fits, it’s legit rule. In last year I’ve only been told to move 2x.

As far as where my clock will end, Apple Maps on my phone is pretty accurate on state and US highways. For the Interstates I figure 65 mph. My truck is governed at 72, but the slower speed takes into account construction and uneven terrain. If I’m in the mountains I have to wing it based on my total weight.

If it’s a new route I can get a general idea of where I’ll end up at the end of a shift. If I’ve driven it before I know exactly where I’ll stop.

Last week I hauled a pallet or 2 of wagyu ribeyes to Taunton, MA. That was tempting, but I wouldn’t have been able to get them home before they went bad.

Welp... bit da bullet and ordered an E-bike. Got the "Lectric" step through 2.0 with upgraded battery and cargo baskets.

This way if I need to go anywhere within a few miles, I'll ride da bike instead of using the truck. Truck needs to run a good 15-20 miles just to get up to operating temp. Short trips can't be good for it.

Walmart/Costco are 5 miles away. Target, Home depot, Petsmart, Autozone, Chik-Fil-A, and a buncha other stores are within 2 miles.

Cargo. Baskets. And the whole shebang with tax, and military discount was under $1,200.

What's a golf cart going for? Huh? Like $12k on the low end?

Pretty productive day so far. After my 5 miler before 8 am, I had a cigar on the sunny side of the patio then on to the gym. On the way home I stopped by my bank and made a wire transfer to pay off our remaining mortgage. We decided to take some of the increased equity from the sale of our mountain house.

Feels really strange to be totally debt free for the first time since I was 16 years old! Beer

My puppy dog tolerates the car. He's not the biggest fan. He prefers to walk so he can smell everything, meet other people and say hello... and play with other puppy dogs when he gets the chance.

DeadEyeDck is out of debt, MACS got an e-bike, recents is back up and RRR is shampooing.
Big day on the boards.

Less fun here with rain, snow and working for an oblivious dude with too much money and no emotional intelligence.

Bonus run tomorrow. Round trip GB to MKE. Boss has me going on a run to pick up a piece of fancy furniture they want.
I do get to use his fancy truck. Worst part will be in the guts of Milwaukee for an hour. Head on a swivel for crazy traffic and bullets whizzing around.

If all goes well, I should be in sloth-repose by 1:00 pm.
