Was Cigar of the year once upon a time.
I won single for $2.
It has a Gurkha-like MSRP of $12 or so
Looked nice, good construction, decent smoke output.

EVERYTHING else about the cigar suqs.
Flaky ash that barely stays on for 1/2 an inch.
Basically a no flavor airball, until the second half, when a rather foul, bitter finish started cropping up.

I tossed it.
My first AB in a loooooooong time.
It will absolutely be my last.

I smoked one or more AB Prensado toros. Didn't really wow me and certainly not worth more than $ 2 IMHO.

I overpaid.
It had been so long, figured I’d risk $2 (these days its tough to find a smokeable $2 yard cigar)
Meh…………this cigar was boring initially, then turned bad…………. better off smoking AJ yard gars……….still able to get those for $2/ea or less.
Still havent fired up any of those LHC Oscuro Fuerte Toros I won for 20 cents each.
Maybe I’ll try one this weekend.

AB should be ashamed of their consistency, I wouldn’t say QC because I don’t have to many not perform adequately it’s the more the lack of quality materials used. It’s like CAO after the kids took over and made it a “brand” company.

The only AB I’ve gotten from different sources that has been reasonably consistent is the Coyol lancero.

Tats and Fuente are pretty much the only thing I will buy now other than some Saka things to stay in good standing with my shpo that protects me.

I’m in the same boat……..somewhat.
I pretty much stick to Tats, Crowned Heads, My Father, and stuff from Saka, Illusione, LFD, and occasional Fuentes and Padrons.
I still buy occasional yard gars to pass out to non smokers who want a cigar, and stick to AJ cigars, and sometimes some Room 101 stuff for yard gar duty.

So weird though, the Prensado looks great, smokes great, tastes like nothing……….until it tastes like chit.
Just sad….

I’m thinking the ornate bands on ABs is what attracts most nOObs. Kinda like Gurks and some RPs

I’ve definitely slowed down on cigar purchases. With that being said, in the last year and a half-ish, Warped and Southern Draw have been the most bought brands but…mighta spend more $$$ on htf / higher end Fuentes and Padrons. No longer chase after LE Tats after going overboard on the T110 Redux.

Ha!
I keep forgetting to try some Southern Draw cigars I won some time ago………it was a sampler………will have to try a few.
I hear good things about Warped………..but I think I’m at a stage in my cigar life where I try less and less new stuff, as in, new to me stuff.
Just getting old I guess…

Most ab cigars have went seriously downhill especially after the big fires that took out their curing barns and greenhouses. The tempus and the tempus maduro are the only ones I still buy and smoke and at $2-3 each I think they're great.

Since it was mentioned the coyol lance is a good cigar. I recently got 3 more here pretty cheap. I like them. The American sun grown is good. I’ll smoke on them as a daily beater. I’m the only person in existence that likes the medalist but I had some older ones , new ones may suck. There may be more I’ve not tried but I smoke the ones I mentioned and if I got a chance at them 2$ ish I’d buy some more.

Still smoke some rocky smokes. There’s some I like some I don’t. I’ll try any of them once.
