Alright folks... I was hoping the Niners would be in it, but with the beating they took at the hands of the Eagles, I'm taking the Eagles, even with the -2.5 spread.

KC started as the favorite at -2.5, but with their injuries and the money pouring in on the Eagles, the line switched.

Prognosticators... prognosticate. Who ya got... and why?

I still have a scar from 4th and 26 twenty years ago from my Pack vs the Eagles (I know, let it go).

I'm rooting for an exciting game but will pull for KC.

Then that scar is from Andy Reid (Donovan and FredEx), so you should be pulling against Big Red. Go birds! 🦅

You’re not the only one with that scar! Crying

But each year it seems to lessen.

The one that really stings is NFC Conference championship in Seattle. Fuggin’ Brandon Bostick! ram27bat

I think the Eagles win . They are just an all around good team. As long as Hurts don't get hurt.

Ugh, that's like salt in a wound of the handful of shoulda, woulda, coulda playoff fails. With the Favre and Rodgers eras we should have another 2 or 3 (at least) Superbowl titles. Sadly, close but no cigar.

I'm with Bucky on this one.... want a good game, but for KC to end up on top... Problem is how's Mahomes' ankle? You could see it affecting his performance Sunday. He's a tough cookie, but this could affect his astonishing ability to turn a catastrophic play into 4 more downs or even 6 points. And how's Kelce's (the red one) back spasms? Without either of those guys in the game, at least 80%, Eagles will take it. If it comes down to a 60 second drill though, my money is on Mahomes.

The pass rush will tell the tale . A healthy Mahomie = great game. If not it will be a long day.

Eagles have a BIG depth advantage.

The Chiefs have a big best player at their position advantage with 3 players.

I wouldn’t bet against KC but my gut says Eagles. I think this game will be close but more than a FG.

The initial spread was 🦅 by 2. Am guessing it will get up to 3.

Best offensive vs the best defense. Advantage defense. Especially with all the KC offensive weaponry either fully out or a good distance from 100% as individuals.

Its the Chiefs defense vs Eagle offense which will be the bigger chasm. Chiefs secondary now has three rookies starting. Great news for two years from now. Extremely bad for two weeks.

Eagles by 6.

^According to the article I read, Vegas started with the Chiefs as -2.5 favorites and when the money poured in on the Eagles, they switched it.

I'm not a gambler, so I will defer to your knowledge on the subject.

That is quite a switch but it happens. The initial Bengals Chiefs spread was KC -2.5. Within the same day, the spread flipped to Cincy -1.

I'm worried for KC unless they can get some healthy receivers, I think Kelce and Mahomes will be fine with two weeks healing.

You mean like San Fran #1 defense lead by the DPOTY did against that Eagles o-line? So the Eagles great d-line getting to an immobile QB equates to the Chiefs defense getting through a standout o-line to get a QB that can scoot? ThumbDown

The Niners held the passing offense to zero big plays (well except the 4th down that wasn’t a catch….) they didn’t hold up against the run. As much as I like Armstead he is no Chris Jones. I think the Chiefs will hold up against the run better than the Niners but will have problems against the pass.

An equally shocking occurrence would be for the game to start with a score of 0-0.

I dropped a small play on KC +120 moneyline.

Something tells me that with 2 weeks to prepare, Andy Reid will come up with something that Eagles DC, Gannon, won't have seen before and have to come up with adjusts on the fly. Likewise, KC DC Spagnuolo will have something up his sleeve too.

Great game indeed, too bad the refs had to make a very questionable call then ended up locking up the outcome. Would’ve been nice to see KC get their FG and Philly try and tie the game up or go ahead with ~1:40 left on the clock.

^They showed the replay. At the initial cut he did grab a handful of jersey and that slowed the receiver enough that he couldn't get to where the ball was. Had he not held, it likely would have been a TD which, ironically, would have been better for the Eagles. They'd have had about 1:45 and a timeout to drive for the tie and OT.

Because of the auto first down... they smartly ran the clock and kicked.

Anyone that complained about it is drinking homer kool aid.

The ball was thrown after he came out of the break, the slight contact would not have prevented it from being overthrown.

RE: The call.

It was holding.
Saying it "shouldn't be called in that situation" is counter to the existence of the rules themselves. A hold in minute one is the same as a hold in minute 59.

However, one could argue that the refs weren't calling it that tight all night. They were "letting them play", as they say.

But I don't hear that kind of talk. I hear whining about a correct call.
If all you philly phans are gonna whine, at least be accurate.

No wonder everyone was rooting for KC.

It was a good call as far as the letter of the law (rule) it was NOT egregious though and in that situation I prefer they don’t throw the flag.

And I don’t hate KC.

They made adjustments at halftime and they got one helluva gutsy performance from Patrick Mahomes.

Doesn’t help that 2/3 of the betting public went with Philly.

“The NFL is rigged!” cries sure got louder.

Or Roger trying to make out with Chiefs players after the game, I think Chris Jones may be able to file sexual harassment charges.

Sir - the Eaglets were outscored 24-11 in the second half. That's not due to a bad or questionable call. That is all. Carry on.

I understand but when you look at the big picture, 'the call' just looks, sounds, and feels pathetic.

The Eagles were outscored 24-11 in the 2nd half. I'm not knocking on you Palama, I'm just saying when you look at it from that perspective, there really is no argument at all. Eagles didn't get it done. It was a great game.

And if that flag doesn’t get thrown the “Eaglets” were only outscored 21-14, 21-18, or even 21-19 in the second half after outscoring them 24-14 in the first half. Thanks for your brilliant contribution, you can now go back into hiding.

Totally agree that Philly let KC get back into the game. Not saying the Eagles D didn’t try to prevent it but the Chiefs imposed their will on them in the 2nd half. Having watched, played and coached football for well over 50 years, games are not won or lost on a single play. KC took control and kept their foot on the petal the entire 2nd half. However, the one play I feel isn’t talked about enough is the long punt return.

If you really break down the play, it looks like the punt was supposed to go to the left. The release of the gunners was towards the left. The right gunner, despite being double teamed had outside leverage but went inside instead. The left gunner also maintained a rout towards the left and so too were the rest of the team after the ball was kicked. Then, when everyone realized the punt was going to the right, their lane integrity broke down. The fact that the punt was low and short allowed Toney to field it and have a chance at a return. The Chiefs had a Return Left called so when Toney was able to beat the initial coverage and get to his left, he had a great wall all set up. It was a huge play but probably wouldn’t have happened if the punter had kicked the ball where he was supposed to.

Oh well, it’s sports and we love it because it’s played by real people that sometimes do or can’t do things in the heat of battle. Human confrontation at its best.

I'm pizzed at the money I lost.

I had the Over 11 Philadelphia buildings burned.

Especial this being the third championship game they lost in the last 100 days (MLS & World Series).

Go Sixers! Loved Doctor J, Darryl Dawkins, Tom Mix, Bobby Jones, Caldwell Jones, Moses Malone, Andrew Toney.

Cooled on them when Allen Gangsterson was running the team.
