In the process of updating my contacts, I've now run across a third person who has passed away. No reason to keep them, but I don't want to let them go either. A melancholy pursuit.

If I run into a fourth, I'm going to suspend the mission.

I kept Big Chief’s last voicemail till I switched phones.

Getting close to new phone time again and I’m wondering if now that it’s an iPhone I have I’ll retain my voicemails from my dad.

I leave the contacts.

ZRX, use the following link to see easy instructions to export the voicemails out (skip to option #2):

You can save them to cloud storage or email them to yourself.

I understand, I still have his note sitting under the sea lion jaw he sent me.

I do believe remembering people keeps them alive in a small way.

I vacillate on this.

Sometimes when I run across a deceased friend on my phone I’ll delete it but there have been times when I’ll pause, think of him or her and leave them in my Contacts. No rhyme or reason, just a feel.

But I never delete photos or messages unless I transfer them to another storage device or site.

Wanna head a story that sounds like BS?

Few years ago my grandfather called me. I answered. It was a wrong number. Just really weird. He hadn’t been gone all that long. Maybe a couple years when it happened. I keep all my dead homies in my phone. My contacts do switch when I change phones so they good to ride w me.
