Why are there 30 day delays on Arturo Fuente

I get it that many AF are in short supply but why the 30 day delay on some varieties at nearly every website. Do these websites need an order in hand before they can get stock? Seems strange. Do any of you know the reason for this strangeness?

You know they get storms in the tropics that affect crops?

Right?

I get you’re not a Platinum Member™️ and can’t just text Carlos or Cynthia…..They don’t have to wait in the UAE either.

I get it but if I were the retailer and could count on supply for my customer within 30 days I would buy more than enough so that customers wouldn't have to wait.

Probably easier said than done. I’ve been told by local shpo owners and managers that sometimes they’ll get AF product they didn’t order but not complain for fear of not getting stuff later. Although they’ll place orders at shows, through their rep, etc., Fuente ships what they wanna ship. Plus, of course, seasonal, HTF and LE products are on allocation so doesn’t matter if you order 100 boxes. You’ll get your 2 boxes of Hemingway Short Story Maduros and thank them for their generosity.

I have heard the same things from many shpos. They can cut a shpo off iffn they find out they discount prices. They have used the HTF stuff as a carrot for many years to keep retailers in line.

Just looked at the tenski place and they have quite a selection of Fuente on sale. The only things I didn't see were the Opus and Anejp stuff - but I really didn't look hard.
