well there is a solution to LB. If he just starts out by bidding a very high price, with no autobid, just sit back, bide your time. When the auction is about to close, if this price of his does not beat your high price you have set in your mind, make you bid, if you really want to be cut throat about it, wait until about a minute before the auction closes. Without autobid he would have to monitor every movement of the auction before it closes. This may teach him the advantages of using autobid. With autobid you don't have to sit around at auction's end and worry about being over bid. I put in my maximum price when I first bid, not a bargain price that I hope to win at, but my personal high price I would bid under all circumstances. Then if I win at a lower price, great, but if someone at the end of the auction over bids me, what do I care, I wouldn't bid a penny over what I already bid.
