Does anybody know how many boxes of cigars a person is allowed to bring back from the DR? Any idea what kind of prices a person can expect to find while there? Have a friend going down next month any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Just going to the source does not mean your going to make out like a bandit. Also, as far as how many to bring in. I think your allowed up to $400 on general items before you get taxed...that is duty free. Anything over I have no idea. However, it may be different for tobacco products.

cigars shops mainly sell DR smokes. Opus X hard to find. Cubans mainly sold in 2 or 3 stick samplers. did get box of Montecristo No. 2 for $50.00 American. exchange rate was $1.00 = $2.60 Dominican
