Palo Prieto opens with a stunning, near seamless Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. This golden leaf has been stuffed with hand-selected Nicaraguan Corojo and Criollo long-fillers, hugged by a Dominican Corojo binder. This sets the stage for a highly enjoyable rich and creamy core, punctuated by welcomed notes of chewy leather and spices. Medium to full in body, each puff proves to be better than the last. And the presentation is simply amazing. Each cigar is wrapped in gold foil and packaged in an attractive cedar box. Palo Prieto is hands down one of the best boutique releases in years.
