Cigar Size: Robusto (5.0" x 50)
Cuban cigars have attained an almost mythical status in the USA. Not counting the innumerable fake ones - even the majority of the real Cuban cigars are vastly overrated. Ever since the communist state took over the Cuban cigar industry, it’s been in a long, slow, and obvious decline. So much so that it’s now merely a shadow of its former glory. The best cigar makers, those with the know-how, fled to friendlier countries that didn’t confiscate businesses and private property.
Back in their pre-communist heyday, Cuban cigars were the pinnacle of the cigar maker’s art. Those that remember the legendary, authentic Cuban cigars know that they tasted sort of like vanilla ice cream sodas. And about halfway through, you’d get a bit of light-headedness and realize that these babies were potent - but you’d notice it in the belly, not the palette.
Made in the Nicaragua these "Original" Cubans offer a perfect draw, sweet smooth power that pleases the palette and convinces the belly that these are the ‘real deal.’ Loaded with a mixed-fill blend of Nicaraguan tobaccos and covered in a gorgeous ESG sun-grown wrapper leaf.
