Next up Cohiba Siglo VI Tubo (Habano). Back in an hour or so. |

That Siglo was like my 15th or 16th CC, and sorry folks, but I still don't get it. Can think of a couple dozen NCs I'd rather smoke. That My Father LE had it all over the Siglo.
Wait a minute. You have got to be kidding me. I started that smoke around 7:15 PM, and read a couple of Spurgeon's sermons while smoking. I just put it down and it's 9:45? Two and a half hours on a Toro? My smoking buds will never believe this one. |

That sounds incredible. Was spurgeon the big cigar smoker? I listen to a lot of podcast sermons and audio books like purpose driven life. |

Mid 19th century Reform Baptist minister in London. Known as "the Prince of Preachers". He preached up to a dozen times a week, to crowds of up to 10,000 at a time. If you can get past the old english, his works are well worth reading. |

Seriously John, I thought it was around 8:30 and came in to post and grab another smoke. Totally shocked when I saw the time. I know you love them 150's. Glad it was as fantastic as the others. |

The smaller rg siglos have recieved better reviews. Don't tell me you payed more than $4 for it or I'll be heart broken!
I just got back in town and ordered a pizza....smoke to follow. Nothing beats finally getting my old man to have a cigar with me yesterday! |

Ex Son In Law brought it back, along with a Esplendidos from overseas. Had my mentors check them out, and was told they where the real deal. Knowing my Ex SIL, he probably paid full retail plus. |

So many have this exact same situation play out.We as Americans are accustom to more smokes from Nicaragua,Honduras and the DR......All of which cater to our "MORE STRENGTH" pallettes.Cuban's always have been about elegance...........those subtle flavors one must look for while slowly smoking. Most of us,me included, need to only smoke these after a couple days smoke free(or go on a Habano's only week)to truly appreciate the subtle nuances of a fantastic cigar. The regular Cohiba line is a step up in strength but IMHO not nearly as complex as the Siglo line.Just my .02 on the situation. Ron Thanks for the advice, Ron. Makes sense. Next time I'll try going cold turkey for a few days, and make sure the CC is the first one of the day. BTW, about the only thing I was getting out of the Siglo was a hint of vanilla ice cream. That was about it, front to back. |

Went over to Daughter and Son in law's house. SIL had gotten me an Illusione MJ12, they bought me a bottle of Knob Creek Rye Whiskey too, so had to sample that as well. |

That means I went out at 8:15 PM, which is 1-1/2 hours on a Toro. Still a record for me (45 minutes to an hour is norm), but a little more believable. |

Smoked a perdomo legend and an AF 858 on Saturday night, had a MF le bijou and Tat vericou lined up for Sunday but wound up sleeping most of the day
Agree with DP, the MF with some age is an excellent smoke |
