your boy Nick Cave is around promoting his latest. Haven't heard any but reviews, though positive, make it sound more dark than usual.

remember Tyyler? He just sent me this link, and on the right are cuts from tonight's (!) show in Boston that I wish I had gone to as I have now missed him a couple of times.

CBS Saturday show cuts are clean, but the Boston show cuts are very poor, at least Whipping Post. His wife is on the violin...

Can't stand the sound of Pink Floyd. If the music were made with today's technology, I would probably like it. Just sounds too cheesy.

Hank you seriously need to get a new pair of ears. DSotM is one of the best recorded, mixed and mastered album ever made. I know that the concept of an album is probably foreign to you but vinyl LPs were the chit for decades. ram27bat

Longest Run on the Billboard 200
Pink Floyd's acclaimed 1973 classic "Dark Side of the Moon" has spent an amazing 861 weeks riding the Billboard 200 album chart. That's over 16 (non-consecutive) years!

I know that Floyd is no Justin Bieber, but then again who is? Not talking

Clearly, DSotM and all of PF's catalog needs Autotune, Drum Machines and a farting out Hip-Hop bass on them. And where is the well choreographed dance videos for their songs?

I'm not saying Pink Floyd is bad, just not my taste. Without Pink Floyd we probably wouldn't have half the music we have today. Amazing how people can't have their own tastes. Maybe we should all be mindless zombies and only like one style of music.

A major reason why i really love his solo work over the other 3. He delivered solid music each album.

Ringo really tries hard and is a very close 2nd.

John spread his wings but songs like Imagine just sound like open suckbtpnme.

Paul? What a load of crap his solo work is. So disappointing.

I'm going out on a limb and say that because it was sooo close to the Beatles breakup that some of these were in notebooks waiting to become Beatles songs.

The further away from the breakup...the bigger the suck is for me. Not saying he can't write a great song...just hasn't had a great album...to my ears at least.

For some odd reason, I like the first solo album the best. Maybe because he plays all the instruments, maybe because I bought it for $3.37 and thought that was a deal 'cause the regular going price was around $3.99. Hey, $0.62 was a decent amount of money back then! I could catch the bus twice and buy a comic book with that money. fog
