Judge a freezer the same way you'd size a car trunk: How many bodies would it fit?

I've got a Gibson deep freezer I've had for probably 20 years. Not sure how long my wife's aunt and uncle had it before that. Still works like a champ.

I bet I could get 5-7 in my Taurus trunk.. maybe 15 in da Burb..

we've had a G.E. upright for 40 years, still works great, but the shelf supports and stuff are broken (not GE's fault) so it's become less efficient to store stuff in now.

for a couple hundred bucks I was thinking of snagging the Imperial if it is quality.

haven't been by to check it out yet, the guy is retired and lives around the corner but we don't know each other.

pics look like it's in mint condition but it's been hard to get info on da webs, other than they make commercial grade and new might be a couple thousand...hard to believe.

I'm starting to wonder if it's a commercial freezer that home food service companies gave or rented to customers who signed up for their monthly deliveries of frozen steaks and stuff. that makes it hard to determine the real original price.

might pass, don't need it with just the two of us living here now, could get by with the GE, but was curious.

We love foods, and Ice cubes. Freezer just works as well to keep the bodies from smelling until you can hide them in the neighbor's back yard.

Us poor peeps can't afford a middle man lol we just do it ourselves and frame the neighbor.

Get some epoxy or JBWeld and some aluminum angle iron and put some new shelf supports in that bad boy......it should work like a charm for short money

that has been the cause of my curiosity. That dam GE has not cost me a nickle in repairs all these years, but between the broken molded plastic shelf support and the fact that it must be costing $30 month on the electric bill due to being vintage 1977...

I might even be able to get $50 from the electric utility plus free removal.

Does it have tie rod guards? Might wanna check that....
