Just had an Ave Maria Divinia Toro. Excellent smoke at $3.00 per or less. Most of AJ's blends are good buys here at $2.80 per or less. All the Ave Maria, Man O' War, Diesel Rage, Diesel Hair of the Dog, Diesel Unlimited, Rosa de Guadalupe, HC Habano2, HC Maduro2, La Gran Llave Conn, La Gran Llave Maduro, La Perla 1515, and Nica Libre 25th Anniversary blends are all good, solid smokes. |

Got em with the box pic Yeah, but only to the tune of $125 for a fiver. Really...did he think he was bidding on 5 boxes? It clearly says single, and I'm working with cycloptic vision, fer cryin' out loud. Of course, I've never made ANY questionable bidding decisions. There are as perfect as a presidential strongarm call. |

I actually didn't see the fiddy in #73 nor on the page at first. Yes, $15 is a bit steep for a WOAM, but they are good, popular, and Fuentes, which often translates to a little irrational behavior at times. Then I saw the fiddy after increasing the zoom for my sorry vision. Gonna have to rename the cigar the WOAH.
I noticed the other day that a line of gear is coming out to celebrate an Opus anniversary (I forget which number). Am looking forward to lighters and cutters that rival a Bugatti for cost. |

These are the people that allow the rest of us to make good buys here, otherwise this site would go out of business and we would all lose our bargain bids.
Foolish bid or drunken bidder that is the question. |

Not an overbid but perhaps an over spend... The native American smoke shop near Yosemite has better cigar prices than anyone in California because they only pay a tribal tax, not California taxes... Selection isn't great but when they get a good one It's worth the drive... $13 PAN 64's, $10 la Promesa, etc...
the girl running the shop isn't incredibly knowledgeable, although she does pretty well...
Their latest acquisition is a montecristo cincuenta... They want $50... For one... For one cigar... For one altadis cigar... For one medium strength altadis cigar...
Personally I thought anyone who paid for the espada was a nincompoop, but this is a whole other level of bad taste in cigars... |

LOL! That is AMAZING as well as EMBARRASSING! THIS is precisely why auction sites have become so popular with larger online retailers. While there are plenty of us cheap skates out here who will scrutinize a Free Fall auction for 10 minutes or longer, making sure to identify precisely the lowest price the "machine" will spit out before resetting, prior to even considering a purchase attempt, there is the "Other Side of That Coin". That other side is composed of admitted or closet gambling addicts who quickly loose sight and focus over what their end goal should be, and instead fall victim to the competition of a typical online bidding war. That is the only way to explain why not one, but TWO addicts happened upon the same cigar auction in which both of them ended up paying nearly double the MSRP for a 5 Pack of a cigar that isn't remotely rare or unavailable. The average selling price for a box of 10 of these cigars today is around: $117.00 Obviously, you can get them for even less if you know how auctions work here on CB! lol! |

The other thing is that they *really* wanna get one and 1). there’s no local that carries them or 2). the prices at their local are so high that even if they overbid here, they’re still saving money, or 3). like Clint said, they’re just dumb! |
