Tons of great albums out there but not many shift the way you see the world..... Wish I could re-experience listening to it for the first time. |

72F / 73% RH / calm - borderline Summer-like weather today, even ran the a/c at dinner time no kidding? I happen to like Mose Allison, have an old vinyl LP called I've Been Doing Some Thinkin' that I just love. Gave up looking for it on cd a few years ago, but it has what I think is the proper interpretation of You Are My Sunshine. |

YES! Mose kicks me where I keep my emotions with that rendition. Like most people, I grew up thinking it was a happy sing-along-with-Mitch song, but Mose exposes the fear of loss. There are other gems on that album, some witty lyrics, some stellar piano (I believe he was classically trained) and most far from sad...though pretty mellow. Guessing I purchased it circa 1969? |

Seriously, you should get it. It has certainly changed the way I listen to music out in the garage. The width and breadth is awesome. |
