if I recall, MACS and I ran off a trio of senior women who had the spot (glass enclosed windbreak at the point of the Ventura Harbortown Resort) before we got there...one spoke admiringly of our cigars and made such a fuss about enjoying cigars themselves so I went back to the room and grabbed some cigars for the ladies...
I was thinking we'd herf and then...who knows...
we exchanged pleasantries and spoke about the full moon that night ...the ladies pocketed the smokes and bailed...musta been something MACS said while I was getting the cigars...
they left MACS and me to talk story under the bright red full moon, smoking a great Monte Edmundo... loved his stories about the senior sailors and tools he used in the heat of the boiler rooms ... we both nubbed it... |

I have a few left in the current box but I think it's 2020. I smoked a HdM Epicure #1 yesterday in da back yard with a beer... Anthony was driving through town to drop a trailer load of beef in San Diego before heading back east, so he stopped in for da night. We smoked and joked and drank a couple beers. |

Smoked some HdM Short Robustos (right name?) with daughter's boyfriend that I think were about 5 year old. Absolutely no loss of flavor. In fact, the mildness of the aged tobaccos allowed the flavors to come through nicely. Both were nubbed. Thanks SOB!!! |

From a 2014 box split with Triodes and Erjaq - both sadly MIA.
Edit: tight cold draw. Hadda PerfecDraw the heck outta this to get a decent draw. Still enjoyed it but didn’t like having to do some mining work. |

is "inferiorly" a word? Speaking of tightly rolled Partagas, my nephew and I bought a couple boxes of Super Partagas last year and those arrived w-a-y too tight. Nephew was greatly disappointed as this was his first Cuban box. Gave him some 65% HF beads to help lower his RH (...he prefers 69%...). Also told him to roll the cigars between his hands to help loosen it up. Both changes seem to help, a little. SOB will be along shortly regarding your crossword eligibility question. |

is "inferiorly" a word? And they want to jack prices up to Hong Kong prices. Hopefully, it will cost them sales, and they'll reconsider. I've often thought that if any other major manufacturer of cigars was as crappy at rolling cigars as the Cubans, they would catch a lot more flak for it. |

I've often thought that if any other major manufacturer of cigars was as crappy at rolling cigars as the Cubans, they would catch a lot more flak for it. Once upon a time Hong Kong had some pretty good pricing. I seem to notice that poorly rolled CCs are the smaller RG ones. Then again, I don’t have or smoke as many Cubans as many here. |

Although I can't remember the last time I had a Cuban that was too tight due to rolling I have noticed a big drop off in the quality of construction for some manufacturers since the covid hit and a big drop off in production in general.

I'd bet you will be turned on to all the Siglo III you want. |
