CAO Soprano

Does anyone have a box of these laying around? I’m looking to pick one up. I know chances are slim with the age, but thought I’d give it a shot

Ain’t gonna lie I want one too. Just to look at. I didn’t like the cigar. But I loved the show

The cigars were good at cbid prices back then but nowhere near worth retail. I can’t recall anyone here mentioning going through boxes, but the boxes themselves were nice. This was around the time CAO started caring more about packaging than product.

Remember the CAO vision cigars sold in that illuminated "humidor" box? Never tried one so I can comment on the cigar. As Z said, CAO started to concentrate on marketing and flashy stuff at the expense of a consistent quality product.

Probably gotta look at the online selling sites whose names can’t be mentioned here but I’m sure you figured that out already.

Good luck with your search!

I just want a single. You hippies holding???

Also want a boondocks saints I know that’s a long shot. Feel like a cao should be obtainable

Idk. The Sopranos was like 2013 or so, whereas the Saints last release was a couple years ago. Shorter time frame increases your odds when you're talking holding hippies

I think their prices shot up due to the licensing which is why they came back later with generic mob names and not with the Sopranos attached to it. Their packaging was nicer because didn’t CAO start out in the humidor business and then got into the cigars?

It changed because the old man let his son and daughter take over and the marketing was how they wanted to “update” the company.

@sunover true. However I’ve been trying to get ahold of a boondocks saints for quite a bit. Or an empty box. No dice. It’s a higher quality cigar.

The cao soprano is serviceable but not something I’d call special.

A WAY better cigar IMHO...

Or AKA... CAO BRAZILIA GOI's

I seem to recall that the handful of Sopranos I had long ago were mostly rock hard and never lost that ammonia smell...and from a few different sources

You just described the last 20 CAO releases.

I believe you.
Early on in this pursuit CAO was a big part of my development in the appreciation of the cigar...first the Cameroon, then the Maduro...loved those box pressed beauties...until I didn't.
It was their fault.

I do agree jones I’ll take a Brazilia over the soprano as well. I have some Brazilia somewhere. I don’t hate em

There’s a few blends I like well enough for what I pay for them. Kick around smokes

I received a box of these as a gift when they first came out. The humi is better than the cigar…from what I remember.
Still have the humi. In new condition. Usually put a few different cigars in it when the guys come over.
Always have to remember to take the batteries out so they don’t corrode in the humi.

Tried a Sopranos way back in 2007 so they have been around that long. Wasn't impressed. The first Brazilia I had was a freebie from my shpo in 2003 and I really liked them back when Cano , Huber and co made them.

I do believe you may love these cigars more than anyone has evah loved a cigar before!

Your last three posts were in search of them...this week, 2019, and 2016!

I hope your efforts are rewarded.
