Either it's out there but dies on the vine. Or no one but me cares. Either way, I drink enough wine often enough to keep it alive as long as I'm here.

I got a Malbec from 2012. Some winery called "Layer Cake" in Argentina?

I just felt like having a glass of wine for some reason, and that one looked good... plus my old G37 was "Malbec Black" so it reminded me of her.

14.5% abv, and it is very good.

A free "cardboard-deaux" from the hotel manager's reception tonight. I think soaking the box in water and then dying the run off red would be better. Blech

Rose season is upon us. Had a few bottles lately but forgot about this thread. Some great, cheap stuff out there that goes great with anything that just needs something wet, a little chilled, and dry to wash it down.

tonight I had Crios Rose of Malbec 2014 from Argentina. I would pair this with almost any entree, very refreshing, and cost about $10-$12. Straw colored label on a clear bottle, has a hand drawn hand on it, like a cartoon drawing.

Good stuff cheap. No need to get all serious when drinking "rozays".

Most any Aussie Shiraz from the Barossa Valley works for me. Tonight it's a Split River from the western side with a PSD#4 '10.
