AKDAVE sends me a RAOK !
1. Author: jespearDate: Thu, 5/23/2019, 11:02AM EST
Dave sent me a very special "double purpose" RAOK.
First, a really cool commemorative ashtray, (which brought tears to my wife's eyes), honoring THOR, my 14-1/2 year old Norwegian Elkhound, who passed away a few weeks ago.
Second, a sweet "fiver" to say "Thank You", for giving up my teams in the 13 Run Baseball Pool, so he could play.
( He won 1st place, BTW ! )
Also included was a very heartwarming note.

Dave . . . You really made my day. Thank you for your thoughtfulness, my friend.

Would love to however I don’t think it would be a big money maker. Wood in Alaska is expensive and shipping them out to the lower 48 would be $12 to $16 bucks. I guess it just depends on what people would be willing to pay. From what I’ve seen and the few people I have talked about it with, there wouldn’t really be any profit. However I might be under pricing them. What do you guys think is a fair price? They can be personalized in many ways as well.

Send one my way Dave, and I'll do all the research, market analysis, complete demographics by age range, sex, geography, and I'll get back to you regarding pricing and sales projections by geographic region and popularity of some different themes......Gon' Fishing

Seriously, that's some beautiful work there and I think if you made a few up, and could find the right niche to sell them, you could price them at what you need to make yourself a profit...materials, time, overhead, plus an hourly rate for yourself.
If they sell well, you could purchase your materials in bulk, and cut your expenses there, and use flat rate shipping(if it fits it ships), and save some money there too.
Look into local Craftsman Guilds, and you may find they have venues or shows to showcase and market them...

I think you should make a business out of it if you can figure out the logistics. I will order a custom one in the meantime.
