Poll Question: If GWB and Obama were the Presidential Candidates

Obummer has done more damage in less than 2 years than GW did in 8!

I don't agree with that. Bush got us into 2 wars, poorly handled Katrina, fostered the Patriot Act (the biggest "big brother" bill... bigger than "Obamacare"), expanded government and spending, while reducing taxes resulting in our largest deficit ever.

Obama has messed up on health care reform--though keep in mind he had little to do with the bill beyond introducing it. It was congress and the house which brutalized it with compromises, so the name "Obamacare" is misleading. He also increased the deficit further by failing to cut when cuts were needed. I do wonder how this would have panned out had we not been in 2 wars.

Bush also owns TARP and other nice little bail out provisions often convieniently attributed to others.

The deficit was what when GWB left.....and it is what now? Also dems couldn't get in front of cameras fast enough to show support for the baby B when they ASKED for a vote to give him authority. GWB was a very flawed president and not at the top of my list. But worst ever? No. I agree with TDub as far as this poll being imaginary, so in that I would "not vote". In reality Bush 43 can't run and the mooselum Kenyan isn't constitutionally able to.

Buchananan won our precenct, B1 Bob was second. It sort of reminds me of in here at times and I enjoyed it.

And would we have nearly the current problems that we now are saddled with, had either B1 Bob or Pat Buchanan won the presidency?

I think not...especially in the case of Pat Buchanan who if memory serves wanted to stop illegal immigration, stop foreign entanglements, slow down the entitlement gravy train, and rein in the big banks like Goldman Sachs many years ago.

I actually voted for Nader in 2000 -- not because I share his principles, but to vote against Gore and Bush.

Hard to tell but Clinton did and although I never voted for him he did pretty well compared to Baby Bush and Obama.

As for the deficit, both Bush and Obama get an F. You can attribute the deficit to the person in office right this minute but that's pretty disengenuous to me. To a certain extent the first couple years of any Presidency is a reflectoin of the past one. You can't turn the ship quickly in most cases, especially the economy. As a matter of fact I think Clinton gets too much credit in that regard and Papa Bush not enough. The Bush deficit is enormous and the Obama deficit will be even bigger. I blame Bush for starting it and Obama for at least not slowing it (actually escalating it). Its pretty cool to be able to leave a pile of **** on someones door step then turn around and bitch at them for having a pile of **** on their door step.

The politics is nice. They are fun to read. But not really the reality. Bush sucked Butt. So does Obama. Obama has not done as much damage as Bush yet but he may. Bush was really just a god awful President and pox on our country.

And most Perdomos are terrible. I'd still smoke most of them over a PI though. The lot 23 was the exception. Pretty decent smoke actually. It had to be a mistake. I haven't had one in awhile so they probably have deteriorated into the normal Perdomo suck hole.

Clinton, and more specifically the Community Reinvestment Act,
is a major portion of where this problem began.

He had act 1 with the burst of the "Internet Bubble" when people realized "that's a neat idea and sounds nifty" does not equal a vaible reason for $300 million equity to be instantly created.

Act 2 was when we realized "that's a neat idea and sounds nifty and EVERYONE deserves a home, and besides the loan is secured by real estate, which NEVER goes down in value" wasn't going ot cut it either.

Sometimes war IS the proper response. How does one stop a hurricane? Too bad nobody told all those poor folks they should leave. Oh, wait...The Patriot Act, after 9 years (and which was supposed to sunset but was extended by Obama on Feb 28, 2010) has not effected me. He did increase Gov't spending. He did lower taxes, and I simply can't comprehend anyone not thinking lower taxes are inherently good. Usually, lower taxes results in higher overall revenues, as it encourages the economy, but no such luck this time around (see rant above about Clinton). IMHO, DEFENSE SPENDING WITH HEAVY EMPHASIS ON R&D is the best form of stimulous package. It creates jobs NOW and the technology development often becomes the basis for future industry. Ever hear of DARPA?

Largest deficit ever? You aint seen nothin yet, sweetie!

Obama care already has effected me negatively - my FSA is now much more of a PITA to use for over the counter meds. The name Obamacare is because it was his sweeping promise that resulted in the perceived "mandate". COMPROMISES?!? Thank God for that! I just adviced an intelligent young man who is in college on a biology major "don't bother with med school. Become a Physicians Assistant instead. Serously - over the long haul, unless you are going to become a high-end specialist, the income difference wont be that much, and the headache is not worth it."

FAILING TO CUT WHEN CUTS WERE NEEDED?!?
FAILING TO CUT WHEN CUTS WERE NEEDED?!!!?
Thats what you call it?

Thank god for this new web format, so I can block your posts from now on.
And thank you for doing me the favor of revealing yourself as an absolutely brainwashed idot, saving me from dealing with you any further.
