Hey Palama, I’ve noticed that you old timers tip your hat to the person you got a particular cigar from. How do you keep track of that with so many cigars? Do you tie them in a bundle and attach a note? Segregate in a ziplock within your humidor? Do you keep a written inventory? I appreciate any tips you can offer and anyone else reading this please feel free to give a n00b your advice. Thanks to everyone.

80946 Edgar Julian Cuba Nada. Got in a trade where I got shafted but im gonna smoke all the no name bundle cigars he sent me for my Darklord collection. I can't find anything about this cigar except that it's sold at the small batch place $37/5.

So, you are saying you should have traded those Darklords to *ahem* some known brother on this board instead?

80983: Latitude Zero Toro
An Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. It seems much different to me than the other more nutty, creamy, mellow Habanos I’ve experienced lately. It was full bodied but the flavor was mostly “good tobacco” w/o any particular taste standing out save pepper. I can agree w/the review on CB with the one major caveat…these things in very small amounts. I can’t see buying more of these but I’m happy with my purchase.
CB review:
“ This combination promotes a powerful, heady profile that’s layered with complex nuances of nuts, pepper, oak, cream, and caramel. Elegant, extremely well-balanced, and brimming with flavor,…)

Yup. 😣

I put them up there with pictures, but thought it would take a while. I didn't go there with that intent, I logged in and saw a PM asking if I still had any but it was old so I replied but also threw up the thread with a @ tag. Came here and figured I'd do the same. As I was typing out a post in the trades section here, I got a PM alert there and it was done. It wasn't up 2 minutes.

I can't/won't bash him too hard, msrp on the cigars is what I paid for the beers. But he did not factor the part where they're rare and irreplaceable and worth about $500 on secondary market or the fact that I actually paid $300, thats not msrp bullchit im valuing it at. One of the bottles alone regularly trades for $250-350. I had a cash offer of $450 but hoped I'd get a solid mix of cigars. If I got the cash I'd buy my usual cigars.

80984 Avo XO Intermezzo rob. One of the top shelf cigars I got in the Darklord trade.

Milder but with a bit of a bite on retro. Great sweet honey graham cracker flavor. Creamy texture.

I like it a lot. Wouldn't mind keeping some around and exploring more. But I've said the same thing about pretty much every Davidoff friend I've tried. AVO, Zino, Griffins. They're all solid good cigars. Taste great, burn perfectly, even smells nice. Tend to lack the "wow" factor but excel at just being extra good. If Oliva is a Toyota, Davidoff and friends can be a Lexus.
