WATCH: U.S. News Giant Admits to Serious Lie About Trump

Agency forced to issue major correction after massive error concerning former president

By Bob Unruh
August 21, 2024

Legacy wire service the Associated Press has admitted it lied about Republican candidate President Donald Trump's agenda for a second term, if he's elected in November, issuing a massive correction to its own report.

The original was a statement that aligned with the Democrat talking points being used to try to promote Kamala Harris, the candidate the party's elite picked to replace Joe Biden, whose public appearances of late have delivered to the American people evidence of his mental decline.

It was AP's description to a second term agenda as "Republican" when, in fact, the agenda at issue, "Project 2025" was assembled and released by the Heritage Foundation.

Trump, in fact, has denied being affiliated with it, and has criticized some of its points.

The AP got triggered by a Democrat National Convention stunt by Michigan state Sen. Mallory McMorrow, who appeared at the convention with a mockup of the Heritage Foundation's plan and claimed that the "Republican" agenda would have a President Trump replacing the entire federal government with an army of "loyalists," a claim that isn't supported by the facts.

I’m sure I’m not shedding any light on the conversation here but since I’m a big mouth, this is so prevalent with the Biden administration that I consider it routine. I know it happens often in every administration but with Biden it is guaranteed and the numbers are larger. Also, the original numbers tend to stick in the media’s ā€œconscienceā€ while the downward revision is buried on page B5.

'Violent shove in the direction of reality': Biden-Harris overcounted U.S. jobs by astronomical number

'Wall Street is increasingly waking up to the fact that the economy post-COVID has never been as good as the government bean counters claimed, and a recession may have already begun'

By
Owen Klinsky, Daily Caller News Foundation
August 21, 2024

The federal government overestimated the number of jobs in the U.S. economy by 818,000 between April 2023 and March 2024, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics released Wednesday, stoking fears of a slowdown in the U.S. economy.

Economists at Goldman Sachs (GS) and Wells Fargo anticipated the government had overestimated job growth by at least 600,000 in that span, while economists at JPMorgan Chase had predicted a lesser decline of 360,000, according to Bloomberg. The downward revision follows a trend of the BLS overestimating the number of nonfarm payroll jobs added, with the cumulative number of new jobs reported in 2023 roughly 1.3 million less than previously thought as of February 2024.

It's no secret that they revise numbers on a set schedule. But it's kind of tough to claim your (Biden/Harris) economy is doing well and the job market is flourishing when the scheduled revision is one of the largest i n recent memory and knocks the wind out of a major talking point (based on the previously inflated numbers) in the discussion, e.g. "The job market and economy are doing great!". No they are not and most people know it.

An actual reporter, during some hypothetically actual interview of Harris, should ask her if she still thinks the US job market is in a good position based on the newly revised figures. Assuming the Commerce Secretary told her about the new numbers...
