The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics collects, analyzes, and publishes reliable information on many aspects of our economy and society. It measures employment, compensation, worker safety, productivity, and price movements, labor market activity, price changes, and productivity in the U.S. economy to support public and private decision making. *

How often is this survey updated?
BLS conducts quarterly wage and benefit updates over a 6-week period for the pay period that includes the 12th day of the month for March, June, September, and December. *

So seeing as how they all know the truth of the numbers it was just convenient to openly lie about them???

And the media allows it???

Sure...ok...to get a revision like that...those numbers were NEVER even in the right ballpark to start with!

It's no secret that they revise numbers on a set schedule. But it's kind of tough to claim your (Biden/Harris) economy is doing well and the job market is flourishing when the scheduled revision is one of the largest i n recent memory and knocks the wind out of a major talking point (based on the previously inflated numbers) in the discussion, e.g. "The job market and economy are doing great!". No they are not and most people know it.

We still have record employment. The economy is relatively sound. Inflation is at a pre-pandemic level. Stocks and other investments are doing fairly well. Real wage increases have exceeded inflation. Car prices are falling. Interest rates, while elevated due to a hot economy, are falling. Looks good enough to for me given all that the economy we got used to since around 2208-2010 (or so) was "artificial" because Fed rates were near zero.

Employment Rate in the United States decreased to 60 percent in July from 60.10 percent in June of 2024. Employment Rate in the United States averaged 59.25 percent from 1948 until 2024, reaching an all time high of 64.70 percent in April of 2000 and a record low of 51.20 percent in April of 2020. source: U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

When Trump left office we were at 61.1% and climbing fast. Post Covid had the lion’s share of that. Gasoline, housing and food was much cheaper waaaay back in December 2019 though.

I don't think the agency really cares about accuracy and will put whatever they're told to post and then when reality smacks them in the teeth with a 2X4 of truth with the real numbers...well...it's the agency that lied.

The gap between haves and have nots is widening by Democrat design. I saw the same game plan in California.

All those people who can’t make ends meet under Biden’s inflation just need to get a clue. It’s tone deaf.
