I heard you don't know what you are talking about.

RayR told me...

I was saying that it seem like the postings are labeling a whole diverse group of people as "woke".

And while woke means having a broader awareness of social inequalities such as racial injustice, sexism, and denial of LGBT rights - in the conservatives lexicon in simple means "liberal" and "bad".

I don't think it is accurate, much less fair, to call this large and valuable group of thinkers bad - especially in light of how much they disagreed with each other, and how much they have to offer.

I see. I don’t define “woke” as liberal though many liberals are probably going along to get along in the current political environment. Woke, to me, is postmodern philosophy. Postmodernism is not liberalism as I understand it. You are correct that I am applying the term woke to a vast and diverse group of people. The thing they have in common is their belief in postmodernism and not any other factor of diversity. So in the video clip, I believe, you can see the postmodernist as well as those who are going along to get along. I do not think for a moment that every person who votes for a Democrat is a postmodernist. I hope that sheds a little light on where I’m coming from.

Thanks for taking the time to help me understand your point. It is valid.

It does tend to make Conservative heads explode. The social tendency goes from each person is sovereign all the way back to the State is sovereign. I’m short cutting this but I think you understand where I’m going. In the end, the State takes on the role of the father, mother, and the deity.

I've heard that to be truly a WOKE leftist, you have to disparage FREE SPEECH.
Like Comrade Robert Reich here.

Freedom is Tyranny: Robert Reich Goes Full Orwellian in Anti-Free Speech Screed

We recently discussed the gathering of Democratic politicians and media figures at the University of Chicago to discuss how to better shape news, combat “disinformation,” and reeducate those with conservative views. The political and media elite shared ideas on how to expand censorship and control what people read or viewed in the news. The same figures are now alarmed that Elon Musk could gain greater influence over Twitter and, perish the thought, restore free speech protections to the site. The latest is former labor secretary under President Clinton, Robert Reich, who wrote a perfectly Orwellian column in the Guardian titled “Elon Musk’s vision for the internet is dangerous nonsense.” However, the column offers an insight into the anti-free speech mentality that has taken hold of the Democratic party and the mainstream media.

Musk is an advocate for free speech on the Internet. Like some of us, he is an Internet originalist. That makes him an existential threat for those who have long used “disinformation” as an excuse to silence dissenting views in the media and on social media.
