President Trump has officially announced his plan and executive order to reduce drug costs by getting tough on other countries and drug manufacturers and ensuring that Americans get the best deal.

The Gateway Pundit reported yesterday that President Trump teased the announcement, saying he will reduce the cost of pharmaceuticals by 30% to 80%.

The executive order signed today directs the U.S. Trade Representative and Secretary of Commerce to ensure that foreign countries can no longer take advantage of Americans as other administration officials work to negotiate with manufacturers.

It further directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to help cut out middlemen in the process to allow Americans to purchase drugs directky from the manufacturers. The Secretary will create rules to ensure that Americans have most-favored-nation prices and take other "aggressive measures" to protect American buyers.

President Trump announced the plans during a press conference in the Oval Office on Monday.
