But that was when they were making cars worth buying. Look at the junk they have designed in the last few years. Maybe the cars are good but they are so ungly no one wants to buy them.

#2.....Actually, I think Chrysler is making some of the best looking cars on the market right now. They have always been at the forefront of styling. The cars are just crap.

when i was in the process of buying the 95 my mechanic told me to buy the best warranty for the car.

in the first year, they changed the front end, the tranny, the radio, something with the air cond.

since then it's had no problems.

They asked for help and Obama gave it to the UAW.

Obama had to pay back the election debt that he owed the UAW.

A swad day indeed.

Prolly gonna buy an 09 Dodge Ram 1500 tomorrow.....buddy of mine called me and said he's got 2 for sale at $15,900(brand spanking new)..............MSRP is $31,200.Bankruptcy means hellacious deal IMO.

There is a big difference in the cars made today than ten years ago. Chrysler has some nice products,though some will never admit it. However,I do not think Fiat and UAW ownership is the answer. The UAW and recent leadership at Chrysler are among the reasons why the company is hurting today. Is handing the company over to the asylum the answer? For example, what is going to happen when Fiat ownership wants to do something that the UAW (55% interest by last count) disagrees with? Who will run the company? Why are they running the company? Rick, I could have hoped for the same deal for Chrysler as back in Carter's day. I was actually supportive of Carter's efforts there. What Obama did is a whole other issue. It appears that he gave them just enough rope to hang themselves,took effective control, and then turned the company over to the UAW through the courts while blaming investors.Something does not pass the smell test here.
