Cackling Kamala Harris Claims She Never Ate Grapes Until Her 20s Over Labor Boycott — Timeline Says Otherwise

In a Labor Day interview, cackling Kamala Harris proudly claimed that she didn’t eat a grape until she was in her 20s due to union boycotts of grape producers, but a look at the timeline suggests otherwise.

In a recent interview with John Nichols of The Nation, Vice President Kamala Harris expressed her unwavering support for the labor movement and how she was inspired by Cesar Chavez, Delores Huerta, and the United Farm Workers, whose grape boycotts compelled growers to negotiate.

“The farmworkers movement was very much a part of my childhood,” she recalled.

During the course of the interview, she revealed that she never ate grapes until she was in her 20s.

“This sounds quaint, and so I’m reluctant to say it, but, you know, I didn’t eat a grape until I was in my 20s,” Kamala claimed.

“Like, literally, had never had a grape. I remember the first time I had a grape, I went, ‘Wow! This is quite tasty.’ It was absolutely ingrained so deeply in me: Never cross a picket line,” Kamala claimed.

However, an analysis from New York Post says otherwise. According to the outlet, Harris’s story doesn’t fit with how the three major grape boycotts led by Cesar Chavez and the United Farm Workers happened.

And Kamala moved to Montreal at age 12.

The UFW launched its third and longest California grape boycott in June 1984, just over four months before Harris’ 20th birthday, and it lasted until 2000 when Harris was 36.

The vice president’s office did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment on the discrepancy.

It’s not the first story told by Harris to raise eyebrows and during the 2020 campaign then-President Donald Trump and his allies attacked Harris as an unprincipled “phony.”

Detractors say that Harris lied in a 2019 radio interview about smoking pot in college while listening to Tupac and Snoop Dogg.

Critics pointed out that Harris graduated from Howard University in 1986, long before Tupac released his first album in 1991 and about seven years before Snoop Dogg released his first album in 1993.

Harris defenders argued she did not lie, but instead was saying which musicians she listened to while getting high but not necessarily in college. But the episode became a campaign flashpoint, especially due to the fact that Harris went on to oversee 1,900 marijuana convictions as San Francisco district attorney.

She also took heat for allegedly plagiarizing Martin Luther King Jr. by claiming that as a child attending a protest she memorably demanded “Fweedom” — an account that mirrored a 1960s account by the civil rights hero.

Harris was born in 1964, just before the UFW’s first grape boycott fighting for higher wages and better work conditions. The first UFW grape boycott ended in 1970, when Harris was 5 years old. A second boycott began three years later in 1973 and ended in 1978.

Over 100 Migrants Dropped Off Outside Kamala Harris' DC Home

Over 100 illegal migrants who were picked up in Eagle Pass, Texas were dropped off outside Vice President Kamala Harris' residence at the Naval Observatory in Washington DC on Thursday.

The group was sent to DC by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, and includes migrants from Venezuela, Columbia, Uruguay and Mexico.

A representative from NGO 'Sanctuary DMV' appeared on scene and told the migrants that they would be going to a local church.

"We’ve already set up a church and a location — a safe location for them to tell us where they need to go next, where they have relatives," said representative Carla Bustillos. "I was surprised to see [the press] here before we could get here. So the press knew the location before we did, some of the volunteers… it’s very frustrating."

Abbott has argued that Texas border towns are overwhelmed with migrants, and that those in DC, New York and other Democratic 'sanctuary cities' should face the realities of the border crisis.

Last week, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser declared a public emergency after busloads of migrants began to overwhelm the nation's capital.

According to Ranae Eze, press secretary for Texas Gov. Greg Abbot, Bowser is a hypocrite.

"In a city with a population over 700,000, she’s claiming an emergency for just over 7,900 migrants being bused into her sanctuary city," Eze told the Epoch Times. "That’s barely 1 percent of the population of Washington, D.C. The true emergency is on our nation’s southern border—not in our nation’s capital—where small Texas border towns are overrun and overwhelmed by hundreds of migrants every single day as the Biden Administration dumps them in their communities.

"Instead of fearmongering and complaining about a few thousand migrants in her sanctuary city, Mayor Bowser should call on President Biden to do his job and secure the border—something the President continues failing to do. Governor Abbott’s invitation is still open for Mayor Bowser to visit the border and see the actual crisis firsthand."

Meanwhile, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis shipped two planes full of migrants to Martha's Vineyard, where residents are freaking out.

March Madness crowd boos Kamala Harris at her alma mater’s game

Vice President Kamala Harris was showered with boos while attending an NCAA Tournament game Thursday. Her alma mater Howard University was blown out in a first-round game of March Madness.

When the veep was shown on video board during the men’s basketball game, the boos were louder than the applause inside Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines, Iowa, the Associated Press reported.

The Democrat witnessed the top-seeded University of Kansas Jayhawks trounce the Howard Bison – where Harris graduated in 1986 – by a score of 96-68 in the west region matchup.

Harris, who watched the game in a suite with husband and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff, visited Howard’s locker room after the loss to commend the players on their effort and impressive season.

“You guys are so good, you guys are so good,” Harris said as she met the team and gave them a round of applause. “You played hard, you played to the very last second, you made all us Bisons so, so proud.”

“You are smart. You are disciplined. You put everything you had into the game,” Harris said. “And you know that’s what it’s about, right. Until the last minute, you guys did that, you didn’t stop until the last second you did not stop, and that is so inspiring. So you keep playing with chin up and shoulders back because you showed the world who Bison are.”

Harris joked when she went to school there, fans were just happy there was a game, “much less getting to this place.”

“You make us so proud so I know you might not be feeling great right now, OK, but know who you are: you are excellence, you are hard work, you are powerful and you are winners,” she said before offering a tour of the White House to the group of young men.

The historically black university based in DC made its first trip to the men’s NCAA tournament since 1992 before their loss Thursday. It was the program’s third-ever trip to the Big Dance.
