I can fix it for half that... 😟

Climate change is an existential threat and the only way we can stop it is through trillions of dollars of government spending. I don’t know why you people don’t trust that science.

Weigh in? I'm 173 lbs today. 🇨🇮

I've already stated I do not believe that humans are the cause of the warming trend we're seeing. I do not believe the warming trend is causing more natural disasters, either.

Nor do I believe that rising CO2 is a problem. I have posted these verifiable facts before: The Earth's atmosphere is made up of a measly 0.04% CO2... and if it goes much lower, plants will start to die. These are verifiable FACTS that you can look up, easily.

So, you're going to ignore over 1900 actual scientists, including many climate scientists, and just roll with NASA... because it fits your world view. Got it.

As far as electric cars go, I don't care. I will not own one because it doesn't fit my needs.

I'm just tired of the hypocrisy and the fear mongering over a non-issue. I won't even speak to the wasted tax dollars...

EDIT: And these scientists are from a wide variety of countries, whereas NASA is funded by... the US Gov't.

What's da matter with yooze people?

You don't believe da government and its alphabet agencies can take trillions of dollars of stolen loot and hold back the destructive cycles of nature? Don't you fear the existential threat of Climate Change and the Volcano Gods enough that you aren't willing to sacrifice everything you have for science? Get another jab and you'll feel better in the morning.

You forgot to mention the other 97% that don't agree with your world view. Maybe cite a few of those?

Irregardless there are billions and billions to be made taking either side of that gravy train.

That was debunked long ago, DED. Try to keep up.

I don't have a world view. I have my opinions based on scientific facts.

And how, pray tell, is the side who is saying there is no climate emergency making "billions"?

You should speak with the United Nations.
Apparently, the Paris Accords were passed without the benefit of your scientific facts.
Or opinions.

They don't work for coal producers, big oil, etc for free. Read HD's comment above. There is always big money to be made on either side.

From your original post above: "If better approaches emerge, and they certainly will, we have ample time to reflect and re-adapt."

Why are they saying we need better approaches if there is in fact no anthropogenic warming occurring?

They didn't say that. They said if better approaches EMERGE... they didn't say they needed them. They are being ACTUALLY scientific. Going on the information they have NOW and willing to change if new information becomes available.

You know... like scientists do.

We need better approaches and we need them now because it funnels government money to Le HockeyDad.

Last I saw government does not have money. Anything they spend comes from taxes or inflating the money Le Hockey Dad and I have.

For CO2 strategies I would look at Exxon, Total, Occidental, and Chevron. There are tons of small CO2 companies but the fundamental problem is that spending money to capture carbon produces nothing. When you mine carbon you can’t do anything with it but stash it somewhere. It doesn’t produce a product. Government will have to pay for it or mandate the expense. That doesn’t mean it can’t be a lucrative business worth investing in today.
