Gilberto Oliva Reserva Blanc (Toro) (6.0"x50) Single
A new, classy lookin’ number from Oliva.
It’s been a long 5 years since we've been graced with a new Oliva blend. Let’s just say, this one is well worth the wait. Oliva is without question one of the most preeminent tobacco growers and cigar makers in the world. The 96-rated Serie ‘V’ Melanio and 94-rated Serie ‘O’ come to mind, and there’s no signs of slowing up, as Serie ‘V’ recently hit the #3 Cigar of the Year spot for 2017. While Gilberto Oliva Reserva Blanc is toned down a bit in strength (think Connecticut Reserve), the flavor remains on point. Check out the cedar sleeves. They weren’t just put there to look purty, this one’s a full-blown cedar bomb. Coated by a golden brown Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, Gilberto Oliva Reserva Blanc is expertly constructed. An Ecuador binder and Nicaraguan fillers team up underneath in this mellow to medium-bodied gem. Loaded with creamy flavors, you’ll also notice prominent notes of cedar and oak, accompanied by a long, enjoyable finish.
