Thanks are due to the cigar’s wrapper: a thick, dark, and toothy Jaltepec maduro leaf that’s loaded with natural oils. Inside, Avelino Lara chose an uber-vintage blend of Peruvian, Columbian, Brazilian, and Mexican long-leaf tobaccos, held tight by an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder. Complex is an understatement, as this exotic mixture unloads a smooth array of unique flavor including deep notes of nuts, roasted coffee, sweet spices, and a touch of leather.
