In the world of Macanudo cigars, a vintage year comes along only when a harvest yields small quantities of filler, binder and wrapper leaves whose qualities are superior. Those quantities, which total less than one in one thousand leaves, are then set aside for a given year’s Macanudo Vintage Cabinet Selection. Over four years in the making, each Macanudo Vintage Cabinet Selection is made with the very same kinds of tobaccos. The long, fine filler leaves are grown in the Caribbean. The dark, supple binder leaves are grown on the fertile San Andres Valley farms of Mexico. And the silken wrapper leaves are grown in the famous Connecticut Valley, where Macanudo is the only cigar brand to grow, cure and age its own Connecticut Shade wrapper leaves. The same standards of taste, aroma, texture, color and resilience are maintained from cigar to cigar and from vintage year to vintage year.
