The Onyx line is Altadis ace up their sleeve. The brand has one national release, the Onyx Reserve. Upon it's release, the Reserve earned 94 points in a 2001 Cigar Insider blind tasting and, like most cigars at that time, leaned more towards the milder side. This go around, Altadis has come out of the gate swinging once again. Turning to AJ Fernandez for help, they have amped up the Onyx brand with a full-bodied profile release that is sure to please. Onyx Bold Nicaragua has a blend of Nicaraguan binder and filler encased inside a Mexican San Andres wrapper that has been aged 4 years and offers notes of spice, earth, and leather.
