Keith: Thanks for the comments. No, I have no association with C-bid. I currently have nine large coolers filled with cigars from darn near every cigar manufacturing country on earth, even Bali. It's doubtful that I'll ever smoke them all. Part of my pleasure in smoking cigars for the past forty years has been sharing the knowlege and experience I get. I could care less if someone outbids me on any cigar at this site. I get as much pleasure knowing that they trust my opinion as I do actually smoking the cigars. Hey, these things are consummables. We light them on fire, savor them for awhile, and throw the vestige away. When I decide to bid on a cigar, it's either because it's an old friend that I may never see again, or something that I want to try and share with friends. If you look at my bidding pattern, you'll see that I don't buy high end product at this site. I don't know who C-bid is, and I assume all purchases are made, basically, without warranty. When I buy prime, top end cigars; Ashton VSG, Fuente Opus, etc. I only buy where I have unquestioned return privileges. If I get a box of Opus XX shipped at $300+, and they arrive as dry as 10-year-old dog turds, I want to be absolutely sure that I'm not going to get stuck with them, even if the problem is with UPS or USPS. This site is for playing and experimenting. If I get something I abhor, I just drop them off at one of the veterans' clubs or homeless shelters. The only cigar I've paid over a buck and change for at this site is the 5-pack of Acid Naturals I just picked up. At $4.00 each, they're almost half of what local vendors are getting. I'm giving them a try because I like Jon Drew's past ventures, with the exception of the Acid stinkys, which, like Lars, smell like urinal cakes. If I post that I like a smoke, it's only because I know that C-bid probably has a sch!tload, and they'll be available again. Re: Monte Canarios-I periodically do an internet search to track down the last of the breed. I can usually find a vendor more than eager to get rid of an orphaned box. There's a whole group of Canary Island handmades that have become extinct; Monte Canario, La Nubia, Don Xavier, Vargas, La Palma, etc. You either love them or hate them. Steve
