That's funny. Not sure what the limit on spending is when trying to decide "if you like cigars". It prolly takes more than what you're into with that order. Jake says, "the Perdomo is good". OK, it's mild, but I don't recall it being particularly interesting. I guess it' unlikely to offend.
If you are trying to find out if you like cigars I would suggest setting aside an hour and a half where you can sit and relax when you light up. If you choose to have a drink with the cigar you might also have a glass of water available. Like other experiences involving taste and smell, think a little about what you like or don't like about the smoke.
Have fun with it. You certainly don't have to go "all in" to appreciate a cigar every now and then
