It's a good cigar but I wouldn't pay what they cost. Luckily this was a freebie.

82361 Rocky Patel No 6 with thanks to jeebling.

Starts off mild, slightly woody, little pepper on retro. Very mild. Not much there. Then it just kinda stays there. Generic burning tobacco. Maybe a hint of spice, slight sweetness nothing really discernable. Generic mild mass market cigar. Gave it 2 ash drops to bring anything to the table and it didn't. Can't call it bad cause like the other generic mass market cigars, nothing to excite, nothing to offend. It's not bad. It's a pleasant smoke. I'll upgrade it to decent.

82369 Southern Draw Firethorn with thanks to jeebling.

I bought a fiver of these a while ago but haven't gotten around to trying them. Jeeblings label says 4/24. Mine says 2/28 so I'm going to smoke one from my own stash and put his in the sleeping box with my other 4. Does a month make a difference? Probably not. But if I have the option, I'd rather go as old as possible when smoking an AJF. I bypassed a Romeo y Julieta vintage because I just can't do another CT shade. This is habano, so I'm apprehensive.

First light closed foot AJ pepper and that unpleasant bitter wood habano flavor. Thankfully went away after 10m. Retro is peppery, there's a slight sweet cream in there, little nutty little burnt caramel, some coffee bean bitterness. It's decent. Like all AJF ive ever smoked, it should be better after a couple years.

82374 Karen Berger connecticut Salomon from darklord trade. Strange tanginess in there tastes like a bit of pipe tobacco may be in the blend. Pleasant creamy nutty fruity sweetness. Add to the short list of good CTs. Nice and complex, several flavor transitions throughout. Excellent cigar smoked about an hour and a half and nubbed it.

82375: La Gloria Cubana Wavell (Robusto) (5.0"x50)

Savory and sour in the right way, lots of bitter cocoa and dark sour cherry on the nose and in the smoke. A full bodied cigar that’s strong but not outrageous.

This one was absolutely terrific. The ones I’ve smoked in previous weeks obviously had not adjusted to the RH in my storage and therefore didn’t smoke well and tasted bitter and ashy. This one was full bodied, savory, background notes of dark blackberry jam and oak, a tad earthy and occasional milk-tea flavors, toasty in final 1/3rd. I can imagine buying these again.

Dang…I see that paid $23 for a fiver - $.4.6 per stick. Not a particularly good price.

82383 Southern Draw Rose of Sharon lancero with thanks to jeebling.

Very light tan wrapper sposeda be a sun grown Ecuador CT wrapper. Not sure what that's gonna bring but let's go. First light is kinda boring. Mix of papery Connie with some pepper and some habano woodiness. But it got better. Spicy retro, light finish, slightly sweet, buttered toast and a slight mineral or metallic note. It's a decent cigar. A lot fuller in flavor and body than the appearance led me to expect.

82384 Tatuaje Havana VI Nobles with thanks to jeebling. Been a while since I've smoked one of these so young. Age really helps them. This has a bit of that wet wood bitterness initially but it subsides. Pete pepper is big on retro. Mixed nuts, coffee beans, sweet cream. No burn or draw issues.

Good cigar. Great after a year or two.

82391 Warped Moon Garden (I think - its a flor del valle with a gold especial band) with thanks to jeebling.

I've been looking forward to this one. First light bitter wood but loads of spice on retro made my eyes water. The cedar remains but less of a wet bitter wood and more of a sharp note in the spice blend. Finish is creamy and rich, vanilla and caramel. Rich earthiness and spices. There's so many things happening. Extremely slow burn. At about an inch nice old world flavors. If unbanded I'd question the country of origin. I bought some of these a few weeks ago. I'm on a buying freeze but have a short list of boxes I'll break it for a worthwhile sale. This is getting added to that list.

Fantastic cigar 5/5. Best I've had in a while. That was an interesting journey you sent me on jeebs but the finale is top 5 for the year. I still do need to smoke the Diamond Crown I skipped cause of being on call. Probably tomorrow.

82406 Diamond Crown Julius Caesar with thanks to jeebling. Last jeebs smoke.

Wide open draw, sweet and spicy. Almost vanilla bean-y on retro. Very nice smooth smoke. I've had these before but the price tag keeps em out of my humidor, but I like them a lot. Nice well aged tobaccos with a rich earthiness, sweet finish, savory rich texture. Decadent is the word. I like nice things but sometimes something feels too nice for me. This is one of those things. I don't eat sweets for reasons, but like that mini pecan pie jeebling sent, I indulged in half and it was so good. Too good. I had to share the other half.

Dessert gave way to sharper earthy tones with deep mineral notes, that nice Dominican profile. There are few cigars I feel give a significant ROI once you get into the over $12 range. This is one of them. I also don't typically enjoy Churchill because I get bored after an hour.

Little past halfway and it turns up the volume. Big flavors, big spice, strong retro. Still with a creamy rich sweet finish.

This cigar may also join the top 5 of the year list as well. That top 5 list is probably 10 cigars long but I'm going with it. Excellent cigar, 5/5.

My local ShopRite has a decent cigar assortment at much better then B&M prices, if I remember correctly most of thier selection go for roughly online prices. And are kept impeccable.
