As an experiment, I took the cello off two years ago and meant to smoke it about a year ago but forgot.

Strong but with restraint. Pepper, spices, cedar wood. Texture dry, finish slightly bitter. Not much else going on as it burns. I was expecting a lot more from a $15 cigar. It's got stiff competition in the $5 cigar range. If it were a $5 cigar it would be good. But since I paid $12 for it, it's downgraded to not bad.

It smoked great but as an experiment, it failed.

I wanted to see how much of a difference taking the cello off really made so I was supposed to try the cigar after 3 to 6-ish months and then compare it against one that was kept in cello. Two years ago when the Palmas arrived, it seemed like the perfect time to answer the Cello On or Cello Off question, at least for me. But, no big deal as I’mma rarely in a rush to try a new smoke.

Good to excellent. Starts off where I was expecting it. Pepper, earthy, borderline harsh. But it quickly settled into a very pleasant dessert smoke. Sweet, creamy, chocolate. The sweetness takes over after a couple ash drops. I was expecting MSA-like from this but it's not at all. Not sure what the Brazilian wrapper brings to it, tastes mostly like CBL to me, it has a broadleaf binder. I guess the rough earthy tones maybe, but they're in the background for most of the smoke time.

Very good cigar.

82662- CAO Black Bengal (toro)

Another thread had me thinking about giving some CT's a go. Had a few of these sitting for a couple of years so why not. Not to bad at all.
Good bit of pepper, but there's hay, cedar, and some creaminess as well. Though I usually lean toward the darker, fuller side, this was quite enjoyable.

Mine was a correction. By my count next number should be 82665.

No, haven’t tried the Robusto, the only other vitola I’ve had is the Lancero and that one was good.

I have one more Lancero and a gifted Toro somewhere and should dig them out.

You posted same time as another. Not your fault happens to everyone.

I think the Tabernacle Corona is better than the other sizes but the lancero is the best.

I still think we’re off by one because deadeye smoked 2. I don’t care that much but I checked 2 pages worth. Everyone knows I usually fugg it up. But I’m still coming up with a different number. Due to deadeyes 2 cigars in one post.

82675 La Aurora preferidos broadleaf.

It's decent. Slight grassy note, the sweet cream is there but in small doses. Pepper is sufficient, finish is fairly dry. I've had these before and they are better with a bit of rest.

Glad you enjoyed it.

Back-in-the-day I *really* loved the Bait Fish and thought the bigger size was a great addition to the lineup. Unfortunately it never really caught on. Too bad. I still have 1 or 2 laying around. Should ash those up too.

Belated birthday smoke for our son.

Edit: Argh! As soon as I clipped the head, the wrapper around that area cracked badly. Right now the band is holding the cigar together but afraid what’s gonna happen when I take the secondary band off.

Edit #2: Band removals successfully executed. Might actually be able to smoke most of it!

Edit #3: Was able to smoke it down to about an inch. Funky experience fo’ sure. Huh
