beyder28, i don't know you or your girl, but i think you should post any pictures you want. just because its a cigar forum, we shouldn't show pictures of women or cars or talk about sports or any other thing that comes to mind??? lets face it, what is better than smoking a good cigar and having a drink while thinking of women??? if there is something better than that, i don't about it.

What you are forgetting, shadowbandit ... is this site is not ours to say how it should be run. We can only suggest. We don't make the ultimate decision on what's allowed to be posted ... and what's not.

This is a forum that is owned and run by a retail cigar company ... and they ultimately have the last word. We are guests in their home, and what we do here can reflect on their business.

If you want a place that 'anything goes', 'Yahoo Clubs' are private forums ... and and in those, the sky is the limit.

slim, i understand perfectly what you mean and i almost agree. i consider myself and all of us not guests but paying customers. i believe this forum and all forums like it are here for us botl to share our cigar experiences as well as life experiences with each other so that we may bond and have a place to hang out together without actually having to travel. if you were my guest in my home, my humidor would be open to you free of charge... and i would be talking to you about BEYDERs'girl!!!!

LOL!!!! You guys are all very funny. Slim, I have to sincerely disagree with you in a big way. We are not guests here, we own this place, without you and me and the others here, there is no CBid, remember that! We keep this place running so technically if it would make the majority of us happy to post some dumb pics of a cute girl, we should have that done for us by cbid cause we do plenty in return for cbid.

Like any business owners or managers, you have to do what makes your clients happy, bacause they pay your salary and to say that I want it this not to be posted because that is what I want is very ignorant and not a good way to please your customers. This issue is more about principle then anything else. I have much better things to do than worry about some pics of gf being posted and most of you guys have much better things to do then bitch about them being posted. But if most people want to see them and it does nobody harm, why not allow it? why should SteveR go against all his loyal customers that bring him money and say that's just my decision and thats it. What is this communism?

I have not been posting on these boards for too long, but I have been keeping an eye and reading everyones posts for a while, learning from others wisdom and getting some really good advice. Most of you here are very knowledgeable about cigars and other things too. You guys are smart, loyal to your kind and overall good people. That is what I have learned reading these posts. Having said that, you guys all know that Cbid needs us more than we need Cbid. By being ignorant, they can loose a lot of loyal customers and a lot of money. I am not trying to blow anything out of proportion here but the reason I am saying this is because I have heard some of you say, "dont argue with the admin." "If steveR says so then thats how it should be." This is the wrong mentality! You guys are Cbid and you should stand up to things that you find unfair inorder for the common good of everyone here. I think that is very important in life. Either way I think you guys are all great, descent people and I enjoy reading most of your posts and I am glad to have had the chance to socialize with some of you, hope to get to know more of you.

I spent more than a boatload of money here but I dont think thats the point. I think even if you only ever spent one dollar in here and nothing more that is still an extra dollar in Cbid's pocket so every customer is an important customer.

Beyder28 --- there are thousands of people who buy cigars from CigarBid and Cigars International who never set foot in these forums.

Haven't you heard that CI is the #1 internet cigar retailer, and CB comes in at #3 (I think that is was SteveR posted awhile back)? I doubt that the forums played 'that' significant of a role in their success.

Also, many of the posters here seldom (if at all) purchace their cigars from Cigarbid.

So bottom line ... we ARE guests here, we DON'T own this place, and 'without you and me and the others' here ... CB would be buisness as usual.

Whether you like it or not, Cigarbid still makes the rules and Cigarbid moderates 'their' forums ... and they have the right to enforce their final decisions on what is proper material for their forums.

Geeze ... don't tell me that you have never been in an establishment that has the sign, "We Reserve the Right to Refuse Service to Anyone" ... LOL!

Get over it ... you're just pissed that you were refused a couple of postings. I've been here 6+ years ... and it's happened to me many times over the years. Life goes on ...

Look guys, this is something that has been blown way out of proportion. Yes, we value each and every one of you, and the last thing I want is an unhappy customer, or forum user (that doesn't even bid). This is a cigar web site, and the forum is free - you don't have to buy cigars or pay to post.

Beyder - if you want to have a contest to prove who's girlfriend is hotter, that's fine. But, I really don't think it's necessary to constantly be approving pictures of her in lingerie on the picture post. Isn't one enough? Out of respect for your girlfriend, I don't think the CigarBid forum is the best place to be showing pictures of her in her skimpies. We get enough oinks throughout the day.
