For me the best cheapo maduro, the one I cut my cigar loving teeth on, will always be the Mayorga Maduro Robusto box press. It made me love what cigars had to offer. I have smoked box after box of these before I was willing to try anything else. It was like a small gem I found and did not want to let go. I occasionally get them to drift down memory lane.

I remember my first box purchase of the Mayorgas had a perfect layer of blume on it when it arrived. I was so new to cigars i thought they sold me moldy cigars. I never see that anymore.

Found me a new favorite (for this month anyway) -- not the cheapest of cheapos, but better than many far more expensive -- can be had on special or auction just south of $3.....

Capoeira - rich, complex and smooth....liking these a lot

I keep hearing good things about these, I'll have to grab some to try.

My favorite "cheapo maduro" this month (so far) would have to be the Camacho SLR Maduro robusto. Right around $3, medium bodied and has a whole lot going on for the money. De-freakin'-lish.

One of my favorite cigars...both the rothschilde and the toro are excellent imho, and they nap well.

-La Herencia Cubana oscuro fuerte/can be had for about $2.50 a stick
-Gurkha ....yeah, Gurkha...Blue Steel/can be had for about $3-3.25 a stick

Smoking one now and it's definitely a good one.

Also probably mentioned at one time or another(probably by me) - Cu-Avana Maduro. I was quite surprised at how much I liked these mild but very flavorful sticks.

Quintero maddies, either the toro or robusto aren't bad for the price....a pretty decent stick. IMO

the thread was way too long...i actually quite enjoy, and may receive flack for it, the Bahia Maduro. Not anything overly mind blowing but solid given the said title of "besto cheapo maduro". Anyone else agree?

Most of them are, but a buddy of mine smoked a VS Limited aged cameroon last night and said it was one of the best 10 cigars he ever smoked.

I like Black Ops.

I don't like Mayorga- way too inconsistent.
