Broke down and bought a jar, I figure for only $145 I can't go wrong if they are anywhere near as good as the single sample I've had so far.

I was saddened to hear the jars were not ceramic. Kinda like those SNS ashtrays.

I didn't order a jar because I've been trying to support my new local (and they don't carry tat yet) but I do have a 5er coming in a trade.

Smoked one last night......I was very happy... Jars are a bit cheap looking to me.

I just got mine in the mail today. I also got mine from Rahul but it was not as smooth a transaction as ones in the past.

Rahul is in the middle of a 6 week trip to his homeland. His staff isn't as efficient as he is.

Ah that makes sense then cause it was hard to get a reply to any messages I sent him.

Easiest way to reach him until he gets back is a PM at SnS or OLH.

Been eating up the bundles but have not yet tried any from my jars. Hope they are the same flavor profile.

Exact same cigar DED. The cigars were ready last fall but the cheapo jars weren't so they released some bundles and and kept enough cigars for the 10K jars.

Just opened mine and took them out of the foil and they smell awesome. I saw one person say they still needed some rest but most say they are good to go now. Guess I will have to try one and see for myself.

I guess there has been a lot of complaints about the jars. Saw Pete actually posted and explained how it all came about. Said he chose the malamine jars rather than ceramic to keep the price down.

BTW, Rahul checks his email each day so if you need to get in touch with him, send his shop an email.

Smoked my first one today. Maybe I have my nostalgia goggles on, but the old CGs seemed a lot smoother and sweeter. I hope these get there as well, but I guess only time will tell.

I agree they have a little sharper note than the regular Black CG but that probably is just a function of age. The old CG that were only passed out at Pete's events were made many years ago.

The three pack event only Robustos were by far the best. I still have a couple left and can't make myself smoke them!
