To you?

Haven't been feeling cigars lately. I've forced myself to finish a cigar. I'm getting about 2/3 of it then it's like I hit a wall. No flavor, not enjoying it or anything. And I don't smoke much, if I'm lucky 1 a day. Lately it's 2 a week. Sup with thst guys?

You got pwned by Grandpa!

Dink, I smoke MAYBE one a week anymore. Not a flavor thing really except the über strong nice bombs suck to me these days.

Take a break................one week minimum, 2 weeks better.
If that doesn't work, quit.
Send me your best cigars.

Consider a complete change in the flavor profile & wrappers than your normal rotation/likes.
Instead of broadleafs try connecticuts.
Instead of flavor bombs try milder cigars with more nuance.
Pick-up a pipe.

Hasn't happened to me but what Cac is saying makes sense to me. Try an illusione HL candela I know that is on the opposite end of your go to flavor and they are very good.

Same thing happened to me awhile ago, hit a slump cigars didn't sound good and almost become boring. Decided to give smoking pipe a try, liked it couldn't hardly put it down seemed like, burnt myself out on the pipe now back to cigars.

Take a two week break and get some age on your sticks. I used to smoke a lot more often. Now I smoke less, but enjoy the flavors and nuances more. Age your sticks and notice the difference. Try something mild but flavorful that you have not smoked in years and focus on the taste and the experience. Go back to the basics and make the experience special. Send the daily smokes to OpFTH and hold on to the premiums you want to age.

Buy a cob and smoke a pipe. Whole new world to explore. New techniques, new flavors, new styles.

Taking a break is a good idea. Smoke better cigars less frequently. Life is too short to smoke cheep cigars or drink cheep beer. YMMV

Try smoking them from you butt as the flavor profile should change. Possibly a hint of corn or nuts.

Take a break and come back to it. Sometimes things I like, I get tired or bored of them. After a little break from it, I come back to it and it's like I never left it.

Try smoking a good, mild to medium cigar with something you like to drink, be it coffee, a good bourbon etc. Smoke only when you hae the time to smoke a cigar slowly and blow the smoke slowly through your nose. Take a lttle time in between puffs to enjoy the cigar. I find the best time to smoke a cigar is right after I get up in the morning. It may differ with you, but that's my approach. Also try a few different, good cigars. A Padron, an RP Vintage or Decade, Arturo Fuente etc.

Seriously, wombat...I know how deep and wide your humi runs, so if this can happen to you, it'll prolly affect me at some point. I've only taken cigar breaks when I've been sick, and want to smoke more than I do.

In the meantime, while you're thinking about cutting back, just send me a few of the ones you don't feel like smoking anymore. Got any more of those Oliva V maddies from pre-2007, with the blue cloth band, or any 5+ year old DPG Cuban Classics, or 3+ yr old AVO Signatures?

This is my hobby when I'm taking a break from road racing. Crashed at Kansas speedway back in early September so I need a distraction for awhile. Cigars are a welcome distraction from the bent sheetmetal that used to be the race car I've owned since 2007 and fabbed parts or built nearly every part of.

So what I'm saying is don't take cigars too seriously. Enjoy them and try to remember why you started smoking. I remember how unique each cigar was when I first started smoking.

There's a reason we enjoy cigars so much. It's a reprieve from the demands of the day. There's nothing to explain, nothing to figure out just a lit cigar and hopefully a quiet corner where we can enjoy it without interruption.

That is why I smoke a cigar.

So quit smoking cigars and send them to me. Or, just pick one up when you really want one, vs. out of habit.

Anytime my friend.

Been sick, smoked 4 at Lou's herf and none since. Still have a nagging cough, so another week or more before I do again. Bad thing is, im looking at my humi and im buying cigars/trading cigars and I cant smoke....and I am twitching like a crackhead for a fix.

I'm out of town for a work trip. Not taking a single cigar with me. Figured it's a great time for a break before the holidays. All the time off coming up, I'm sure I'll be smoking a couple per day.

I only get a few in a week. Once in a while I may get 1 a day in but normally 4-5 a week and most of those are on the weekend. Haven't felt the need for a break at my rate but couple times I had 3-4 cigar days I did not smoke any the next couple days for sure.
