Get to pick / bring my own cigar..
What ya think?
No, this contest will not be held out camping with Jamie.
Or in a Turkish prison.
Or with gladiators.
But, pancakes AND waffles may be on the menu.

sounds like a good excuse to smoke a good cigar.
I personally like the Woam, as the ash holds well, and has the artistic touch.
long ashes be with you. . .

Longest ash I ever had was with a toro PDR RL. You certainly won't be showing up in class but the ash held the entire way to the last nonsmokeable inch. Want class? Padron FR 46

Long ash and laptops don't mix well. I'll have to sit this one out.

Jamie posted a pix of a JdN Antano consul (41/2 x52) that he ashed to less than an inch. I was able to do that with a JdN Antano robusto grande (5 1/2 x 52). Had to smoke it ash/foot down for the last couple of inches to avoid lateral downward force on the ash, but it stayed on to the final inch.

Some cigar seller did such a contest where everyone had to smoke the same H.Uppman cigar a couple of years ago. I was present at a more exciting and smaller contest where the goal was who could smoke their cigar down to the smallest nub. I chose not to compete and one of the competitors set his mustache on fire relighting. They are still arguing over who won.

One of the biggest ashes I ever saw was on Kim Kardashian, but she's not a cigar. I guess that doesn't count.

I smoked an entire Nub habano without dropping an ash, the next 5 I smoked, I wore the ash about halfway through.
Long ashes.

A good reason why longer is not always a good idea for ashes.

The cigars that are impressive are the ones that hold their ash and when you ash it you can actually feel the ash break off - that's an awesomely constructed cigar.
