I have a remarkable brother-in-law.
Army. In his mid 40's. Has better fitness scores than the 20-year-olds he works/trains with. Dedicated. Tough. Great husband. Excellent brother to my wife. Amazing brother from a different mother to me.
Battled back from injuries he got from his a deployment to Africa a few years ago. Woke up in Ft. Sam Houston, half a world away, on a respirator and lucky to be alive. Mustered every morning in his wheelchair as soon as he could leave his hospital bed. Attacked his recovery like he does everything else in life, headstrong, with all his heart and never giving up.
When I asked him a few months ago about he is able to get PT scores better than the youngsters after coming back from his injuries, he said that it's a combo of experience and brains. I personally think he's got superpowers. And I'm glad he's on our side.
Anyway... He's an occasional cigar smoker. Tonight, over belated birthday steaks, I'm giving him:
- A seasoned humidor (his first) set up with Heartfelt beads and a calibrated hygrometer.
- A curated selection of my Noob yard-gars.
- A fine selection of Padrons I just picked up.
I'm super excited/priveleged to be able to do this. Thanks, everyone, for offering me your advice and showing me how fun this cigar gifting can be!
