September 26th – With more than a month gone by and no time for the project, I was more than ready to whip out the interior features or the humidor.

Three drawers and two shelves. The drawer faces in cedar contrasted too much with the walnut of the casing, so I need a darker wood. All that was left in the pile was some South American Walnut (Nogal), which did not match. So, a little vinegar and iron rust, and the blackened wood matched the legs.

The picture shows a dry fit and the ready to go boards. Forty five boards in all, not counting the mounting slides. Taking these from rough 4/4 cedar to 3/8 parts took some doing . . . .

Next week (I hope) will see the assembly and fit in to the casing.

Looking very beautiful. How much do you think the materiels cost will be in the end?

About $250 in wood, many another $25 in hardware, two cans of lacquer at $5 a piece – Oh, hell, probably $300 all told.
